"Gruter came highly recommended by the previous owner of our property, having installed the three AC units at our house. When we reached out to have Steve check the AC unit that was installed last year and was still under warranty, he said, "I'm all booked up and can't get out there. I don't know what to tell you." When we kept calling to get on his schedule, he wouldn't return our calls. (We had been in touch with the previous owner during this time, and had communicated our frustration with Gruter, given how highly recommended he had come from the previous owner. That owner, working on our behalf, reached out to Steve to see what was going on and apparently told Steve that we shared what Steve had said to us. That made Steve mad. Guess it's not fun to have your unprofessional words thrown back in your face...) When he finally called back many days later -- and at 7:30 in the morning -- he said "I can't make you people happy" and refused to honor the warranty or to even check the system. We had to hire an attorney to get any further response from him, and even then, he ALLEGEDLY came out and visually inspected the unit and (of course) said it was fine. Like I believe that, given that it still is not working properly. We have three AC units, one that needs to be replaced soon, so we were definitely future revenue for him, but apparently he's doing so well he doesn't need our business. As a business owner myself, I find his behavior appalling. I would NEVER in a million years recommend this business. He was unprofessional and incredibly rude, as well as petty when he found out that we communicated HIS words to the previous owner. Childish."

"Steve and his team checked my old furnace and found some humidifier and potential carbon monoxide issues. Within a day they installed a new Bryant system. It made an immediate and an obvious difference. I've known Steve for years and I'm very happy with the unit and the work. Gruter has installed and provided excellent service to HVAC systems in my sister's house as well. Good guys!"

"Gruter Heating and Air is the best you can ask from hvac in the city. Steve and his son have come to my house many times to keep our very old system running. Finally, we decided to update and they have done an incredible job installing the new system. They are incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy and pleasant. They will be punctual, professional and polite. I really appreciated that they never tried to sell me on a new system until I was ready and then they were very open about prices and how those prices would affect the comfort level of my home. "We are on our second house and any time we need a repair or service we call Gruter. They have always been prompt and any repairs were done quickly and efficiently. Gruter has never thrown parts at any problems or recommended repairs or replacements that were not needed. Their prices are always fair and they have several times gone above and beyond to provide fantastic service. In one case we had a bad gas valve which required a trip to downtown Cincinnati and back. They made that trip and within a few hours our heater was back up and running. When we were considering a full AC and gas furnace replacement we requested bids from several companies. Gruter had the best prices and better equipment than a few big players in the area. Chris also worked to give me information and pricing on a geothermal system that was priced very similarly to the standard HVAC system. Gruter has always provided us great service and prices and we consistently recommend them to our friends and neighbors. You will not be disappointed using Gruter"
