"I don’t know what’s going on as I have used them in the past they always showed up on time and did good work. I had them fix my dishwasher it worked for three weeks then was doing same thing as before. Joe came out was here stayed five minutes and left said he would get back to me that he had to do some research. That was at least six weeks ago and haven’t heard a thing. I have called numerous times being told he would get back to me that day and he never has. I paid $380 for the repair and think I at least deserve a call back, just common courtesy. I’m very disappointed to say the least."
"I have used Armao's a number of times over the years and always had Mr. Armao do the servicing. Today, Jerry called to see if he could come a little early which was great with me. My washer is over 30 years old and was hoping it could be repaired if parts were still available. Unfortunately, he didn't have the part and wasn't sure it was available. He proceeded to remove the dried out hose and was able to cut out the brittle part and then reverse it as a temporary fix. I was able to do two loads immediately with no issues . I am very happy! I read reviews from unhappy customers dealing with service call costs when their appliance was not fixed. Every other appliance, furnace, etc. repair companies I have ever needed charged a minimum of $80-$90 just to check it out; apparently they had never experienced this policy. Armao's service fee was under $75 which to me was fair. I'm just hoping they will be able to find the correct sized hose to replace the one that is temporarily repaired. My only suggestions would be that when people schedule a repair from Armao's that they inform the customer about this policy; it should eliminate any surprise charge of which they were unaware."
"I needed my washer machine repaired and I was referred to them by one of my clients. They came out accessed what was wrong with my washer and I was charged $60 just for them to come diagnose the problem which was no issue.. Then a few days later they came and “fixed” the issue charging me $290. It wasn’t actually fixed so I had to call back and they came that day worked on it for an hour did not charge me which was nice. Only to find out that it’s still wasn’t fixed. So once again I found myself on the phone calling them to come and fix it again this time two people came and once again was not fixed but left. I wanted the door on the washer to open the opposite way so I had that done and paid $60. Once again washer was still not fixed it actually was in worse condition than before they started working on it. They came out to repair after I had paid about 4 or 5 times (I was not charged for the times they came back). Finally the last time I scheduled for them to come back again I got a phone call about three hours before their scheduled time to come and was told they were going to do some research on the problem, they were not coming. After that I decided to just go out and buy a new washing machine they never told me the problem was not fixable they just kept telling me to try less detergent, wash a load with no detergent etc etc. I put $410 into this washer machine only to throw it in the garbage and not get any of my money back. I called to let the technician know I was buying a new washer and I was never offered a refund... I would have appreciated a call back at least apologizing for the money I threw in the garbage."
"We contacted Armao's in early September for a dishwasher repair. The technician, Jerry, came out on a Friday and diagnosed the issue within a few minutes. When Jerry departed from my home, he accidentally backed into my landscaping, causing damage to the retaining wall built around my mailbox. Jerry did report the damage to my wife and due to our dog being loose she told him to just go ahead and leave. I understand that accidents happen and I was not angry that the damage occurred, however I also did not want to have to fix the damage at my expense. The following Monday, I called and left a message detailing what had occurred and that I wished to be contacted back so arrangements could be made to correct the damages. I know businesses get busy, so I waited a couple of weeks to follow back up after not hearing back. When I called I spoke with a woman, in this case she sounded a little older. She sounded like I was bothering her and came across rude. I asked if I could speak with the owner or a manager. The woman asked what it was in regards to. I explained the situation, which by her response she was already aware of. She indicated she would have someone call me. I did receive a call back. The call back was from the technician (Jerry) who had caused the damage. I didn't speak directly to him as I am a night shifter and he called during the day. His voice-mail indicated that he himself had already come to my house and fixed my landscaping and that he didn't know what I wanted him to do. I was left again feeling like I was creating such an inconvenience for wanting my property fixed after someone else damaged it. I called back I response to Jerry's call the next afternoon and spoke with another woman, this one sounded much younger than the first I had spoken to. I don't recall her name, but to her credit she was friendly and courteous and at least made me feel as if my problem was important. I asked at that time if Jerry was the owner of the company because I found it odd that the owner wouldn't call me back and correct this problem. I learned Jerry was not the owner, but rather the owners name was Joe. Neither Jerry or Joe were available at that time, which is understandable. Ultimately I finally got to speak with Jerry by telephone. Jerry, the employee and not the owner of the company . To summarize, I told Jerry that I expected a company who did retaining walls to be sent to fix my property. Jerry indicated that he disagreed and that only part of the blocks needed to be torn down and rebuilt. So Jerry was basically telling me what would be acceptable based on his standards to repair my property that be had damaged. I asked Jerry why he was calling me and why the owner did not call me. Jerry stated that this was between he and I and that the owner had nothing to do with it. I told Jerry I had called Armao's appliance company for repair, not "Jerry's company" and the charges in my bank account reflected the same. Jerry stated to me that he would come back out to complete the repair on my landscape. I had to tell him that he was not welcome to come to my home as he didn't seem to understand that I didn't want an appliance repair man fixing my retaining wall. I told Jerry that I wanted the owner to contact me. I never received any further contact from Jerry or anyone else at Armao's. At this point. Its going to be less effort to tear down the wall and rebuild it myself rather than file an insurance claim against the company or go after them civilly. I will most definitely not be recommending them or contacting them again for repair work. I would recommend consumers to beware."
"It's been over three weeks since I called for a repair of my washing machine. Armao was recommended by my usual repair people because of a health issue with their repair guy. I knew I needed a new knob and timer unit replacement. Armao said they would order the parts and let me know when they came in. After not hearing from them in four days, I went online, found the parts and ordered them. Within two days, I had new parts. I installed them in less than twenty minutes and my laundry was up and running. If they ever get the parts, I hope they can use them for some other service call. I won't be calling them again."
