"I've been with Fidelity for 20+ years and had the worst encounter ever including having 2 brand new accounts for a family member locked. The worst of it was the unacceptable behavior from the fraud department (Cam J.) even AFTER he had confirmed my family members ID (stayed on and talked for 1 hr after already being on 1 hr) and admitted there was no fraud. The 2 accounts were still closed leaving the account transfers from another institution hanging. Lesson learned, be extremely careful to not trip any security wires when calling Fidelity. Never call maybe? They will become hostile, accusatory, and rude assuming the worst about you. Now, my spouse doesn't want her account there, 2 family members who were moving accounts (in process), and myself (6 accounts) are now spooked at the "authority" one rogue employee can have over ones account to the point of freezing assets and closing accounts. Let's hope Fidelity can make this right. @Abigail Johnson: Please screen better and train employees to be careful with your most precious commodity. Customers."
