"The worst place I have ever lived and it's not even close. Rats have infested the basement and roaches have infested the entire building's clean apartments including the hallways, lobby, and elevators for around 2 years, with the infestations only getting worse. Exterminators have shown up to our apartment less than 10 times in the past year, mostly during a 2-month period followed by nothing for 6 months, despite us complaining multiple times about the roaches. We get told they'll come; that we're on the list, and then they just never show up. I often see 5-10 of them in one day, often in trash and food-free areas like my bed, desk, walls, the bathroom, etc. If you go to the basement to do laundry or use the fitness center, especially in the evening or at night, you're pretty much guaranteed to hear large rats running around and squealing in the ceiling while you're down there. There are more of them in the ceiling than there were 6 months ago, despite the owners blaming the trash pile-up from the parking deck collapse for everything (the trash from that was cleared out 2 months ago and the rats just have gotten worse). You can see lots of rat droppings coming through the seams in the basement ceiling, and sometimes they fall into the hallway and are left on the floor down there for over a week. The boilers were upgraded months ago but I rarely get actual hot water in my bathroom; most of the time it only gets to lukewarm or room temp, and that takes 5-40 minutes of running it cold first. It is impossible to rely on a comfortable shower in the morning, or even comfortable water for washing my face; and I have to run the shower for 30 minutes to over and hour in the evenings to get any semblance of a tolerable temperature with *JUST* the hot water tap running. We call emergency maintenance, the city, and management about it and nothing changes. We just get told "well, the boiler's working." Master bedroom is 15 degrees F colder than the apartment during normal winter conditions. At least one elevator goes out of service several times a week. Sometimes both are down. Maintenance takes ridiculously long to fix crucial issues; most of the lights in the only working elevator were out for over a week before they replaced them. Outside doors to the building are left unlocked despite having FOB locks on them; the stairwell doors have been unlocked for months. Windows on the back door to the building have been largely broken for months and they just duct taped over the cracks instead of replacing the glass. Laundry machines and fitness center equipment are missing parts and have melted and damaged parts, and those parts haven't been replaced in months or ever since I moved in here over a year ago. The tile wall repair to my bathroom which took several months to even address left smeared caulk and splattered gunk all over the tub and wall that's still there. They had sewage backing up into the basement, which flooded its hallway and the storage locker rooms. The water was left for weeks at a time, repeatedly each time it happened, leaving the entire basement with unsafe standing water, smelling awful. Even after they'd clean up the hallway, you could go into the storage locker rooms and see that they hadn't bothered to clear the water from there, so the fumes persisted for months. Eventually, every single storage locker got water in it after the umpteenth flooding before they finally fixed the root of the issue after several months, so everyone's stored things were damaged. They ended up closing the rooms and lockers entirely and have not opened them despite having fixed the sewage issues months ago. They still advertise storage lockers and the pool as amenities of the building despite these no longer being available for use (pool has been closed for over a year). Packages get stolen frequently and management doesn't use their cameras to stop it. The owners were just sentenced for 4 code violations (fined for 15 others last year), and are about to be tried for 45 more. They have plead not guilty to all of them."
"When filling out your application for an apartment. They requested you give them a $50 nonrefundable cashiers check delivered to the leasing office. But you can only fill your application online. You have to $200 before you can submit. At the end, it says you will be refunded any money other than, your buildings application fee. Can’t seem to get my $200 back or a return call, or email response, as well as no one in the office during open hours."
"This one of the worst places u can ever live in willowick for real the build is falling apart from elevators being down dam near everyday when they r doing any maintenance they don't give u any notices or anything the build hot water was out for a week an a half grabe shoot filled all the way to the 12 floor hallways smell like it to really bad even after 19 news cam in here last year after the garage broke in still no better and did I forget there Roaches rats mice run away when u think about this place 19 news needs to come back to get to the bottom of this"
"Four phone calls to the property managers and I am still having rat problems. I haven't slept in my apt in a month and a half since the first sighting of a rat. Calls to city hall, building inspector and health department have been unhelpful. My lease is up in a month and a half, and I cannot wait to be done with this place. I have lived here since 2018 and I do not recommend moving in here."
"This place belongs on skid row. Unhealthy. Smells terrible. Elevators are always down. Forget grocery shopping if you live here. Have your roaches and bed bugs pay rent too since they will be occupying your space with you and your family. Broken door knobs to reach the floor you just had to climb 9 flights of stairs too. Did I mention it stinks ? Don’t let their landscaping and nicely lit lobby fool you ;) You can forget about the pool they advertise here too since you won’t be swimming in that either. If you move here you can count on terrible maintenance, drug deals, flooding in your apartment, bugs, stolen converters off your vehicle and much more! I only rated this place one star because there was no option for 0. -Respectfully a former resident"
