Reviews of Foxborough Commons
"Recently moved here about 3 weeks ago and it’s been great so far, staff has been very friendly and helpful, they don’t take a bunch of applications for each unit, once you apply the unit is held for you until you get approved or denied so if you dont have any issues with getting approved you don’t have to worry about wasting money on application fees just for them to give the apartment to someone else which happened to me at 2 other places before I applied here. My unit was freshly remodeled before move in and it looks really nice, I love the cabinets they chose. Many places just leave old cabinets when they remodel so it’s nice they put new ones."
"My daughter lived there for a year, her rent was paid on time every month. There were numerous issues during the year she was there. Maintenance requests weee made on several occasions. If they responded work was either half done or never completed at all. The office staff, unresponsive. The common areas covered in garbage and filth. Security cameras do not work. Upon moving out, a ridiculous bill was received. After going back and fourth the bill was reduced to a reasonable about. A corrected bill was never received yet her account was sent to collections. This issue still has yet to be rectified. At this point, I am considering letting our attorney handle it because the people here are extremely unresponsive and unprofessional."
"I leased here from out of state, because I needed an address. Surrounded by loud neighbors, chaotic children both with little respect for privacy. The hallways are generally filthy with whatever the children have dropped there. One unit had 2 pumpkins rotting on the balcony until the residents kicked them onto ground level to continue decomposing. Management does not comprehend the expiration of a contract (lease) and expects 60 days notice regardless of the lease expiration (they got tummy hurt when I told them I was not continuing the lease 35 days prior to expiration) avoid this place unless you enjoy neighbors stomping around all hours of the night or you need to be close to your drug dealer."
"I moved in to Foxborough Commons about a year ago after seeing the price was within my budget and the reviews that the property was recently bought and drastically improving into a great neighborhood. For the first half of my lease, there was a Property Manager and Office on Property allowing for easy access and accountability regarding the property. They were performing apartment upgrades, installed better outdoor lighting, a dog park, picnic tables near our community grills, etc.. Additionally, they were always quick to respond to any inquiry or maintenance request given the proximity. About 7/8 months into my lease, we received word that the office was moving to a central location as Monarch Investments had expanded their property portfolio in the area and wanted a centralized location for all. Since then, most of all that was previously mentioned no longer exists since the office consolidation and removal of staff office from property. Throughout the entire winter, the snow removal was half-baked. Private Roads, Parking Lots, and Sidewalks were constantly covered in Snow and Ice. Sometimes there were even piles of snow drifts they created that were blocking access from the parking lot to my complex. I truly feel horrible for those who are elderly or have maneuverability issues. Property Upkeep and maintenance requests take longer and you never know which maintenance person you're going to get. My building had a fire due to negligence of keeping up with our laundry room. The cause was from our Dryer and lint buildup. It took them 3 Months to completely even finish half of our closet sized laundry room and repaint the walls due to smoke damage only because I put in a maintenance request complaining that it should take this long to restore the laundry rooms and common area. When the replacement dyer was installed, the floor was still completely damaged and destroyed and not replaced and they didn't even connect the dyer hose to the dryer. Our doors are still covered in smoke damage and the carpets were never cleaned post fire. I received a renewal letter on 3/4/22 from a template that they didn't even fill out properly informing me of everything they need to inform me of. As expected in the current economy and housing market, the rent and utilities did go up; but, I was not expecting to be informed that if I did not send them the renewal letter back for a new 12 Month Lease, as that's the only option they offer right now, by the end of month, which is a month before my lease is legally up, that they would increase my rent by $25 more than the already stated increase. I'm fortunate enough that this increase won't bust my budget, but it makes me angry knowing that that would bust the budgets of some of my neighbors and other renters at their properties. Did I mention that they tried to phrase this as "Renew [by this date] and save $25 of your rent"? Let's just say that I'm not renewing because I want to, but because I have to."
"I moved here back in September 2020, and the place was a mess. I stayed because I was just happy to have a home after living in the Cedar Point Associate Housing. There were so many problems from the furnace not working to leaks all over the place in the bathroom. HOWEVER, in January of 2021 new management took over (Monarch Investments) and the change was just a complete 180. They fixed our furnace, fixed the leaks, are going to put in a new air conditioner later in the spring, and they've been fixing up the building up itself as well. They honored all previously agreed upon lease agreements and actually respond to management requests and general inquiries. This place turned from just a place to live to a home, and I hope they keep it up because so far it's been 5 stars."
