Reviews of Crossings of Oakbrook Apt
"this is sec day no air cond....thats insane. i have been here since 1991..this is first time waiting..i am in my seventies hubby in 80s.not healthy to be in heat that high for hrsi have high blood pressure."
"I am 2 months into my third year here. While we don’t often have issues. They are not easy to solve when we do. Expect to start having your calls and e-mails ignored if your bring issues to the office often. I was told maintenance would be doing their general checkin to replace filters 2 weeks ago and am still waiting for a second reschedule since no one showed up. The complex manager provided a text number in an email a few weeks back. And when I sent pictures of issues I’m happening in the parking lot was greeted with “this number is no longer in service….. and STOP” when I tried following up. There is little communication unless you physically go to the office."
"These apartments are not worth 1400 a month for a two bedroom. I've lived here just under 2 weeks- the apartment had ants when I moved in, the cabinets are all dated, scratched, and splattered with pain. My central air conditioning has broken TWICE now. The balcony floor boards have cigarettes stuck between them. The newly laid carpet isn't cut to size and sticks up in the corners. The door knobs are loose in the handles. Will be moving when my lease is up, if I survive the next 355 days without pulling my hair out in frustration. Edit: it is now a year later and the air conditioner goes out on a daily basis, despite being regularly maintenanced. There are identical apartments to this off Buttermilk Pike and because their district manager is different and actually cares about the success of the apartments, they have newer air conditioners, new windows without mold, and decent flooring that wasn't laid by amateurs. It is so frustrating to live here - the identical apartments off Buttermilk Pike are also cheaper, despite being closer to the city. The district manager here is delusional to think these are market price for the pathetic amenities and living conditions. She should be ashamed. Nexus, do yourselves a favor and replace the district manager."
"Lived here for 18 months and dealt with many issues. Bad neighbors, trash piled up outside the compactor, and work orders that didn't get resolved the entire 18 months. I will now have to sue the company to get my deposit back because they charged me to replace the carpet throughout the entire apartment. The only "damage" they claim to the carpet are these two stains that are only visible from the bottom of the carpet. That is correct they pull up the carpet to look for things on the bottom of it then try to make you pay for it."
"DO NOT RENT HERE OR WITH ANY NEXUS PROPERTIES. Absolutely garbage company. They will raise rent every single year, and their reasons are "market prices are going up, along with maintenance costs" Which is an absolute trash response as property ownership costs nil. They will squeeze every penny that they can, because they can. They pay their maintenance and office workers an incredibly meager wage, so you have no maintenance, and the office doesn't help you at all because they no longer care. And their management on their garbage for this complex is atrocious. They sent a very condescending email to all residents about people leaving their trash outside, and threatened to charge a monthly fee to EVERYONE, instead of them handling the with sanitation the proper way. They will cut corners when they have to. And no "response from owner", you will not find Xavier in your records because this is not my name, and I don't want you raising my rent anymore due to some trash reason."
