"When I first moved here I was extremely excited! I've been here for 5 years and I'm ready to go for good. I recently just moved from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom apartment okay. I have nothing positive to say about this 3 bedroom apartment!! And we only been in our 3 bedroom for about 3 months and I still haven't unpacked anything yet due to the roaches!!! Now, mind you l've been living here for 5 years in a 2 bedroom with my daughter and never a problem with roaches!! And I wished that I could have kept my 2 bedroom apartment but they didn't want to replace my carpet due my son getting sick. I can't wait for my lease is up so we can move! They don't want to fix nothing, I had to call a plumber our first 2 weeks in the 3barm due to them not having any maintenance man asked if they was going compensate me for the repairs I had to pay out packets and they said NO!! I can go on and go on about these apartments now cause it's nothing to say anymore! And yes, I stilli do live here October can't quick enough!!!!"
"After 12 wonderful years all I wanted was for my apartment and it’s needed repairs to be completed and up to date as other tenants who are residing here. Since the hiring of the last manager Glee I’ve had nothing but issues lies, repair retaliation and tenant repair discrimination. My carpet is over 15 years old and so is my paint. All other units here other then myself and one other has had at least 4-5 changes in carpet per unit. Since I’ve put my foot down regarding updating carpet, paint, repairs, electrical issues and mold issues. I was offered a new unit. Now She has deliberately messed up my lease renewal and refuses to sign a new one. Terminating my current lease. Fine by me because I refuse to live with an dishonest manager in unhealthy and poor conditions and poor standards. Till this day She lies and claims that all these issues plus other repairs are completed. Canterbury use to be an amazing community. Not anymore. Oh and she stated that corporate told her to terminate leases if they are late. Please note all my leases have been late since the day she was hired. That speaks volumes. I’ve also posted pictures of how my children and Iive within our apartment.."
"I lived at this apartment complex for about a year and just moved out a couple weeks ago, the first thing I want to say is that the maintenance worker, Jeff, is so awesome. He is helpful, personable, and very on top of things as soon as he knows something needs to be done! That being said, the management is absolutely atrocious. In the year that I lived there, I attempted to call the office over 20 times and left over 10 messages and at least 10 emails and I have never once gotten an email response or a phone call back. The only time I ever received a call was when I put a sticky note on the door of the office with my phone number, since the office hours are just a suggestion or, at best, changed flippantly from day to day. They left me a message and I was never able to get ahold of them when I called them back. I will say that they just hired a new woman who was very helpful when I spoke to her about moving out, and she stated she was being trained to be in the office at all times and taking phone calls, so I hope for everyone’s sake, that’s working out. Not to mention I received absolutely NO communication about moving out or where I needed to leave the keys or if there was a check out process. When I sent my 30 day notice, I was met with “received. Sent from my iPhone”. Luckily, I just happened to pass Jeff, maintenance, as I was leaving who told me he would make sure if I left the keys there Monday, he would secure them if the office was not open on Monday. He assured me the office was supposed to open on Monday but he is aware of the messy office hours as well, and to no one’s surprise, it was not open. Jeff is the saving grace of this complex and deserves to paid more as he is doing more rapport building with the residents than other other staff member has ever attempted to do."
"Please do not live here. We have a 2 bdr and can only use one because our ceiling is leaking in the other and it’s been over 2 weeks so now it smells in the room like old mildew. They are just now fixing the roof after weeks. To which they gave us no notice and it woke my entire family up early. There is no one ever in the office and don’t even try to get ahold of corporate. I’ve tried for weeks now. They are increasing our rent $280 a month! When people across the hall are on HUD and pay $400 a month we pay $1100!!!!! The outside is disgusting, they don’t fix or clean anything. Our building sign is broken. They took a week to come fix a leaky sink we had which accounted us in pay $200 for our water bill and they did nothing about it. They are money hungry and do not care about their tenants. We’ve had nothing but issues since we moved in. But I can bet if we didn’t pay our rent, they’d get to us with a quickness. Yet when we have a serious issue like not being able to use our second bedroom, it takes them weeks to fix!"
"I love my apartment its nice its really all about what kind of tenant or person you are. No one bothers me i dont bother anyone i am respectful and polite to my neighbors my building is pretty quite and people in the complex when im out walking my dog or checking my mail never had a problem with office and i have only had to call maintenance once and they came through in a timely manner. But for the most part i mind my own and have no issues or complaints i will be staying another year."
