Reviews of Governor's Manor Apartments
"My wife and me have been living in here for a while on a one bedroom apartment and the space is big even if considering we are two on this apartment, the facilities are perfect for living safely, the garage is super secure, the car will be cool everyday and also it wont get any snow when the season hits Ohio."
"For me, The Governor's Manor Apartments is the premier living community in Springfield. After owning a home for thirty years, my apartment and experience of living here this past nine months has far exceeded my initial expectation. The building staff is exceptionally capable and solution oriented. I plan to make this my permanent home."
"I have lived in the apartments for 20 years. I moved here in 2003. I first was in a 3 bed room and then in 2005 downsized to a studio apartment. My family is glad that I am here, as it is safe and secure. It is close to shopping, banking and eating places if needed. I really appreciate the garage. My car has always been in a garage before I moved here. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Large laundry to be used at anytime 24 hours a day. For me, it is also close to my medical doctor. My studio apartment really fits my need, as I am a senior citizen and do not need anything bigger."
"I just moved in on my birthday. I couldn't be happier to be here. The staff is very polite and helpful. The building is very clean and it's very peaceful. I'm truly blessed to live here."
"Things at GM have become less than acceptable. In the beginning things were quite nice. The building manager looked out for the residents and when we moved in the Corporate Officer that was in Columbus had been managing from Columbus for years and was in agreement with probably almost all of the building managers decisions. The rent was reasonable and the building maintenance was good. The Corporate Officer passed away and a younger Officer took over the Corporate position and immediately made changes that were unacceptable to the residents. Had to, begin paying for amenities that had been no charge. Rent was raised significantly and we were told that the old rental price was not In line with locally accepted rates and that was the reason for the increase. I informed the management that the new rates would be for apartments that were completely intact, not for an apartment that needs multiple repairs/upgrades that would include the need for new carpet that should have been replaced prior to our moving into the apartment. There are to many repairs needed. The supplemental cleaning staff was discharged. Consequently hallways haven't been swept, carpets haven't been cleaned, trash room hasn't been cleaned and on and on. The security staff is no longer here after midnight Monday thru Friday. No one is present all weekend. I went downstairs to open the door for the emergency Oxygen provider for a resident that was unable to let the serviceman in to repair her Oxygen service. While I was downstairs I discovered a note attached to the outside of the first entry door. Much to my surprise the delivery notice was addressed to me. My package was not delivered because the driver was unable to get into the building. All of these essential services that have been in place since the building was erected have been stripped away by the new management after all of the residents have been charged additional fees for things that had been included as part of what was considered part of what was offered for the residents of Governor's Manor. 12/28/21 I recently learned that someone is supposed to be on the front desk on Saturday from 9a-3p. Don't know if it is true at this time."
