"I have been here over 3 years now and quite honestly - this place is like the projects. Property management doesn't know what they are doing and as far as I can tell, all they do is collect the rent. They have had 3 different managers in as many years. HUD doesn't do much for the disabled here. I'm very grateful to have a nice secluded place, end of the building apt. Even so, I still have been harassed by one resident who has serious mental issues. I shouldn't have to deal with the craziness. I just moved in, and I am so disappointed. The apartment is "cute", and I can live with the inside. I had a handicap ramp, (in disrepair) when I left for my doctors appointment and discussed this with my doctor. I took pictures with my cell phone so the dr. could see what I was talking about. They provided me with a letter asking to replace or repair the ramp. When I returned home, the maintenance guy was tearing it down and I was told it would take 6 months or longer to get a new one. I don't have 6 months to risk having to use narrow steps attached to a slab that is not level. They left a mud pit where standing water just sits and I slipped in the mud, twisting and distorting my body! It's very dangerous, a magnet for flies and for mosquitoes. I can not walk without use of my 4 wheeled walker and trying to get up these steps at either entrance is a very difficult, scary experience for me. The detailed letter from my dr. is not good enough for them! The paperwork for "reasonable modification's" has to be submitted, then approved by someone, then contractors contacted then bids submitted, and hope they get approved - then wait for the installation. This place advertises it's handicap accessible and friendly. They said I knew the ramp was being torn down - but they (office ppl) also knew I NEEDED a ramp. I had a very difficult time getting in and out of the office to sign the lease, but they did not have any problem taking my money. There are other things that should have been done. The old ramp they tore down could have been REPAIRED. Because it was wood, TR is trying to replace them with metal, but at whose expenses? I'm having surgery in a few weeks and I have to have a ramp when I come home. I can only pray that God sees the genuine need and works some kind of miracle. The other thing that should have been considered was a different apartment (and they have plenty) that has a functional ramp.... I am waiting for a return call from the lawyer with "Disability Rights of Ohio" (DRO) to see what options I may have. I should not have to worry about something like this. I specifically told them on my application and over the telephone that I need a ramp. The office mngr met with me twice and could SEE that I have a difficult time walking. Yes, it is also on my application! They sure didn't hesitate to take my money. I also have a "Ride Along" which allows me to move more freely around but absolutely can not use it here. Both entrances have very narrow steps and the top slab to the entrance I was told to use is lopsided. When I asked for some kind of railing, I was told that because it is only 2 steps up, it's not required by HUD! What about requirement for safety reasons. Another thing: the toilet has backed-up and overflowed twice within 2 weeks of living here. The second time they run a 6ft snake down it, I was told that if that didn't fix it, they would have to order a new toilet! It seems to me that if the blockage is beyond the 6ft, you get a longer snake not a new toilet. I don't flush toilet paper anymore. Fingers crossed it keeps working....."
"Seriously, I don't live here but have 3 family members (in separate units) and a couple of friends who do. I help my sister alot who has had multiple surgeries recently, she has lived here for a year and this Jamie girl is an absolute disgrace to the word leadership! She has harassed my sister to the point of near eviction due to her mistake when my sister paid her rent. She failed to scan all numbers on a bank certied check before submitting it to bank and somehow that was my sister's fault because the bank didn't pay it. My sister went to bank and they told her why it didn't get paid and the lady spoke with Jamie about it and Jamie then tried to make it the banks fault. The lady at the bank even said pk management should reconsider the management at terrace ridge. My sister then had to pay 25$ because of Jamie's mistake and so we called pk management and complained and it still took 3 months for Jamie to release or deduct the 25$ from her rent. Jamie is nasty and rude! Definitely does not work well with disabled people and because she is still there I'm thypk management doesn't care either! Residents there need to complain because I'm pretty sure people have been evicted due to Jamie's mistakes. She doesn't maintain paperwork either so always get copies! What a shame she can continue to treat people this way! Karma will get y'all !"
"I went to the office October 26th bc Jamie told me on phone she has an available 2 bedroom coming open on 1st of November. My friend went inside to get the application and Jamie even told her about the apartment. I filled it out and my son returned it, including all needed documents. Even a renewed I.d. card and everything. I even called the office back and Jamie said she went ahead added me and then in person changed the story entirely. She said someone came in and applied after I did and that they get the apartment. I said: think about what you're saying, you said someone came in and applied AFTER I did. She said what day were you here? I said yesterday October 26. She talked over me saying: soo someone came in on the 25th then and applied. She kinda raised her voice and plus talked over me and I could tell she was plain lying about the whole thing. My son is African American...he feels once she saw him that he wasn't white that possibly that's what she didn't like?? Not sure but odd that we were good enough for the one coming open until she saw him. We are both disabled. Another thing I noticed is she says she's in the office until 4:30 pm but twice she left earlier than that. My son took the transit was there at 4:05 pm and she was gone and door locked. Suddenly she called saying she was driving around the buildings? If she's to be in the office until 4:30 pm she should keep her word. One of the directors in Troy went there also just around 4:00 pm the day before on a Tuesday...sign said open until 4:30 but she was gone and door locked. This isn't a game. We were treated unfairly about an apartment, lied to my friend about it lied to me about it lied to my son as well... then on phone gave attitude and talked over me. Let her come on here and say it's not true when she told my friend same thing. It's not right. Plus I see only 2 stars and plenty of other negative experiences at these apartments. That's not right to have a rude manager. Also...twice I have called the overhead leaving my number and a request for a call back, only I never got a call back. Also, I asked her if the apartments were now free of bugs... because in reviews and other I heard there was roaches and bedbugs. She would not answer the question. What a shame that these apartments cannot be operated professionally so that all tenants has complete living enjoyability!! Even someone that got out of prison for murder was homed here?....That's in the reviews as well."
"Well terrace ridge apartments use to be a decent place to live at but in the last year since they have changed management and now they could care less about if you have bed bugs or if you need anything. The former assistant manager Ashley was so kind and always made sure that you were taking care of. The new assistant manager Jamie is always rude when you call and cuts you off when you're speaking and hangs up on you and always making mistakes but it's never her fault and somenowhow she manages to blame the tenant. People need to treat the tenants like human beings and not like they are better than you just because we live in low income housing."
"I sent my daughter there to ask questions about two BDRM availability as she had previously lived there. She has an ex that lives there and requested if one was available for her and I that it be as far away from him as possible. Later in the evening her ex called because the office informed him that she had come in. The woman in the office, Jeannie Cox, is friends with him and he pretty much runs the property, not her. Standard rules say nobody can live with you that isn't on your lease for more than 14 days. He has had multiple family members live with him for months at a time and now has a woman living with him for the last 7 months. Yet he gets no punishment or eviction. And he's not the only one. This is a very unsafe place to live, especially if you have people threatening your life that live there."
