Reviews of Bright Now! Dental & Orthodontics
"Dr. Dohar and her assistant were amazing!! I called on a Wednesday and they got my son in on Thursday. He's had horrible dentist experiences and he's only 6. We drove 2 hrs to Bright Dental for an exam and a consult. THANKFULLY, Dr. Dohar was able to do his treatment as well. She was so wonderful to him and very comforting. She explained every single thing she was doing and let him see the tools she was using. (Except the numbing shot, of course... she was very sneaky with that and had it done in an instant) I honestly didn't think his treatment was going to happen, especially with how he is usually at the dentist. Thank you so much for your incredible work with my son today!! You and your team were truly a blessing!!"
"Appointment was made to do cavity work from previous exam, but when we were there they only cleaned my son's teeth. They never called us to tell us they were not able to the work nor cancel the appointment because they couldn't do the work. Excuse was give "Xray machine down". I don't believe that was true. They just didn't want to do the work. My son missed school, I got off work early. Such a huge inconvenience!"
"First time going. Very easy to get to the office leaving downtown. Everyone was very professional and I am looking forward to going back. Had a wonderful experience and my dental issues were handled with care!!!"
"I really hate to leave a bad review, but based on my experience with this office I am left no choice. I called the office on 9/21/23 to schedule an appointment because I was in pain. I had gone to them some weeks prior to get a tooth looked at and just for a general cleaning. Appointment went ok. I was told (after the work was done) that they did not have a hygienist and that I would have to come back to get a cleaning once they hired someone. I actually ended getting two teeth filled. Everything was fine. Few weeks go by and one night I was flossing and I thought I had food stuck in my teeth so I kept flossing the same spot. Unbeknownst to me, I had chipped off some of my filling that I had just gotten done. I called them on 9/21/23 because I was in a lot of pain and I realized what I had done the day before. I was told they couldn't get me in until that Monday. The amount of pain I was in, I should have gone to an Emergency Dentist but I toughed it out for a few days. I get there thinking they are just going to fill the tooth but after the x-ray I was told that they didn't see anything missing and to my surprise I was told I needed a root canal since they couldn't see anything on the x-ray and I was in pain. They gave me the paperwork showing how much it was before they even started and wanted me to pay for it upfront. It was a bit pricey so I ran home to get my credit card. I came back and they got started right away. Said we would just do all the paperwork and payment after we were done. The assistant put the numbing jelly on a swab and put it in between my gums and cheek to numb the area before sticking me with a needle. The doctor came in not even 2 minutes later, snatches the swab out my mouth and proceeds to stick me with this needle. I am deathly afraid of going to the dentist due to past experiences. The visits weren't bad, it was what happened after. But the experience that I had at the dentist last year (at a different office that closed) helped ease that fear of the dentist to a degree. In all my years of going to the dentist, I have NEVER experienced pain they way I experienced it last Monday. The beginning was painful, the anesthesia started to wear off before the procedure was completed so I had to be shot again to complete the work. Then I was left sitting in the chair too long after the procedure was over. The doctor left me to go work on someone else, and tried to come back to shave my tooth down but it just hurt too bad. I was in tears the entire time (except during the time I was actually numb, which wasn't long). I left there crying. I was told that if I was still in pain next Monday (tomorrow), they would just pull the tooth. The only thing I was prescribed was Motrin. I called them later on that day when I got home because the Motrin wasn't doing anything and I was in so much pain. I had heard that root canals were painful but this just didn't seem right. No one answered the phone. I left a VM but nobody called me back. I missed an entire week of work because I was in so much pain. Ended up going to the ER because I was taking the Motrin too often and it was making me sick. I couldn't eat and I was dehydrated. The hospital said the office I went to provided "poor pain management". I am still in pain today 10/1/23. I have been in pain since 9/21/23. I am supposed to go back for my second visit tomorrow (10/2/23) but after my online research and talking with others that have had root canals, I should not have experienced this. I was not provided any paperwork to show the details of the procedure I had just received. What I needed to do or not do until I came back. What to expect post 1st and 2nd visit. I was given no direction. No communication. No proper pain management. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this office or any of their affiliates. This was the worst dental experience I have ever encountered in my entire life. Like I said I hate to leave a bad review because the staff was really friendly, but unfortunately I think they may be a bit under skilled for the field."
"Wonderful office, super friendly and helpful. Very easy to make appointments online. No waiting. Very gentle and kind staff. I have severe anxiety about dental work and they were so wonderful, it was my best dentist experience ever. I was in and out in no time. They helped me save money too, since I don't have insurance, so I was able to afford to get everything done instead of putting off what I couldn't pay for."
