"I have severe anxiety when going to the dentist due to trauma as a child up to a young adult. I am really self conscious about my teeth & have never felt comfortable with past dentist. The moment I walked in the office I knew it was going to be different. It felt homey. Everyone was genuinely nice. The staff are all females, which in my opinion is a huge bonus for someone like me. They all work together as a team. The culture is amazing! No drama! Tons of laughter & everyone willing to pitch in & help one another. Dr Martin has truly created an experience like no other. It’s the little things that she has incorporated that makes you feel calm & appreciated. For example I was asked at check in if I’d like a water while I waited. Once in the chair I was asked if I’d like a blanket as there was a little chill. I was given a pillow to put under my legs so my back didn’t hurt. Sunglasses are given while you are laid back so your not blinded by the light while they work on you. There are so, so, so many options from what flavor of toothpaste you’d prefer to having headphones so you can listen to music while being worked on. I couldn’t have been more happier with my experience. I feel like I’ve finally found a dentist I can stick with & feel comfortable & calm enough to finally get my teeth fixed. I am so glad I made the choice to come to Scioto Smiles."
