"Doctors Lori & Ira Levenson are the best! They are both extremely caring professionals. You won't find better office staff either. Top notch experience start to finish every time!!!"
"extremely nice doctors and staff. truly concerned about your needs. they are interested in you and listening to what you have to say. I would recommend them for anyone that needs periodontal care. also, Dr. Lori's new esthetician procedures."
"My experience with Levenson Periodontal has been awful. I've had gum recession for many years. I am in my 50's, the recession was not progressing or causing any pain. Past dentists have said to "keep an eye on things," but unless it became worse or painful, nothing needed to be done. Last year, I tried a new dentist who suggested I visit Levenson Periodontal, even that dentist said it was just for a consultation. My first appt was with Dr Lori. The "consultation" consisted of Dr Lori stating, "I know why you're here, but I want you to tell me in your own words why you are here." I told her what I knew, expecting her to provide the bulk of information and options. Instead, little information and my questions were met with, "If you are nervous, we can prescribe something." Repeatedly stating, "It is a very simple procedure; less than 30 minutes in and out." I felt pushed to have it done ASAP. The morning of the procedure, the receptionist handed me a lengthy list of possible complications from this, "simple procedure." The assistant was waiting, so I hurried and signed. In the room, I was shocked when not Dr Lori, but Dr Ira, whom I had never even met, walks into the room wearing full surgical attire. Post procedure, I followed every take home instruction to the letter. I went back for the 30 day follow up, very quick appt, everything is fine, come back in 3 months for consult on further procedures. A few weeks later, I began having pain and thought my gums looked odd. I sent a text with photos to Dr Ira. Not sure if he actually looked at the photos, but he responded that everything looked fine. I spent the next couple of months thinking things must be normal. I showed up for my 3 month appt, Dr Lori walked in, even though she did not perform the surgery. She posted a photo of my gums onto the monitor screen and proclaimed loudly, "Oh wow, I have never seen anything like this." She went on and on, making me feel like some strange freak, stating that I went from 1 ligament to 5. Within a few minutes of having "never seen anything like this," she had quickly diagnosed the issue as "ligament reattachment." Stating that I needed to have the procedure repeated ASAP. It was done more aggressively later that afternoon, again by Dr Ira who had not even seen me earlier for an opinion. This recovery was more painful the second time, and in the end, resulted in a worse outcome than the first procedure. I did receive a generic text from their office a few weeks later. I responded that I was having pain, but never received a response. It was at that point, I knew I was NEVER going back. After visits with several specialists, the problem was diagnosed as not being ligament reattachment, but instead thick bands of excessive scar tissue. One specialist I showed the photos to even laughed, saying there is no possible way one ligament could reattach in multiple places in someone my age. In repeating the procedure more aggressively, Levenson not only made the scarring much worse, but I also have what appears to be nerve damage. Almost a year later; I am in constant pain. My face will never be "normal" again. Two of the specialists I visited questioned why this procedure would have even been performed at this point in my fifties. After months of not hearing from Levenson, I received a message from an assistant, asking me to send photos of my mouth as a "favor" to Dr Ira. Not 5 minutes later, another message from the same assistant, insisting I schedule an appt within 2 days. I did not call back. By the next morning, I get a text "reminding" me of the appt they went ahead and set up (without my permission). I found Levenson's sudden "concern" to be confusing. I later found out that a dentist I visited had called Levenson. While I would have appreciated a call from Dr Ira, the Levenson doctors chose to have an assistant leave odd messages, never disclosing the real reason for calling. I can only assume it was covering the bases more than it was about helping. Regardless, it felt very unprofessional and added insult to a horrible experience."
"Such a wonderful business and even better staff. My mom had to get a dental procedure done and they took excellent care of her and even talked with me about her aftercare and prescriptions. You can tell they truly care about their patients and I love how they honor veterans by giving them a discount. They gave my mom a generous discount for being a veteran and she was very pleased. My mom even received a check up call the evening of her procedure, by the doctor!! It's almost impossible to find such caring and compassionate doctors like the Levenson's. The building is so pretty and beautifully decorated, (and clean!), which makes the experience even better. Thank you, Dr. Ira and Dr. Lori!"
"Dr. Ira, Dr. Lori and the entire staff at Periodontal Associates have mastered the formula for perfection. They deliver the HIGHEST standard of care to each and every patient. Having recently had a tooth removed and the bone reconstructed in preparation for a dental implant, I can attest to Dr. Ira's expertise. From the moment my surgical procedure was initiated, I never felt any discomfort. More importantly to me, was Dr. Ira's easy-going demeanor and his rapport with the members of his team which put me completely at ease. I have been employed in the dental field in a number of dental practices over the years, and I can personally attest that if you are in need of any periodontal procedure, you can be assured that Dr. Ira and Dr. Lori not only strive for perfection, but their surgical skills are excellent. Their level of commitment to the well-being of their patients is beyond reproach. Following my surgery, I was given Dr. Ira's personal cell phone number in case I had any concerns and he personally called me later in the day to see how I was feeling. If professional dental expertise, compassionate caring and winning personalities are important to you.....look no further than Levenson Periodontal Associates!"
