"It took this dentist 6 months to decide if I would need a root canal or not. I went through a lot of pain. Finally decided I got my root canal done at another place as recommended by them since my insurance has not their referral in their network. Now done with the root canal they won't treat me anymore, sending me a letter that I should find a new dental provider since the patient doctor relationship isn't in good terms anymore. This doctor didn't take any mold of my tooth prior sending me to the endodontist leaving me in a lot of problems now. I sense that this dental clinic isn't able to put crowns after all since they several times pushed out my request for an appointment. I mean see for yourself how outdated this place is with those old equipment and water marks on their ceiling . Thanks very much. I feel you did let me down so bad, and I wish no one to experience this."

"The staff was very kind but Dr. Laneve was rough and ended ripping and bruising up my cheek. Recovery for just fillings ended up being over a week. If you have a smaller mouth, this is not the dentist for you. He also did not smooth out the fillings very well. I was charged additional fees for this appointment later on after I had been told I had paid everything and was good to go. Nothing like getting busted up for no reason and then getting suprise charges for it. Very displeased."

"The worst dentist we’ve ever been to! Wish I could give negative stars! Care is subpar, sent a bogus bill 6 months after the fact and the office staff blamed the previous staff for the faux pas! Paid at time of treatment for my sons filling and 6 months later receive an additional bill for something my son did not have done! To boot…….they don’t even give dental care kits after their cleanings! Way to make people feel valued. We will NOT be back!"

"Dr. Laneve has been our family dentist for the last 7 years and we have found him to be friendly, competent, and pragmatic. He has never pushed procedures upon me, but will mention potential problems during my exam and cleaning. I appreciate a proactive approach, as it can save you money and pain. I also have the ability to say NO or go for a second opinion. When I needed a couple of root canals, Dr. Laneve referred me to Dr. Tobey , who is probably the best endodontist in Dayton. Dr. Tobey is friendly, fast working, and nearly pain free. After having Tobey complete my first root canal, I wondered why people make such a big deal of getting root canals. Yes, they are expensive. I've had Dr. Laneve complete at least 3k worth of dental work for me over the last 5 years and experienced no problems with him or his staff. The hygienist who has cleaned my teeth the last 3-4 times has been friendly, humorous, and has done a thorough job. The only two people I have ever dealt with in the office are Ann and Heather. Both have always been friendly to me. I pay at the time of service, so I have never experienced any billing problems. It is also worth noting that Dr. Laneve greatly helped my late father with a tmj problem. My dad had seen a few other Dayton area dentists with no relief from any of them, but Dr. Laneve was able to help. I am not saying this practice is perfect, but they have treated us well."
