"I care for my elderly father who is a dialysis patient. He depends on me for transportation to appointments. He needs dental care. There are very few dentists in the area that take Medicaid. We found one retail dentist, one private dentist, and one community clinic dentist that only schedules at the beginning of each month IF THERE ARE AVAILABLE SLOTS. We made an appointment with The Dentist in Perrysburg. We received a text message the day before his first appointment. It said that the dentist had an emergency and needed to cancel our first appointment. We rescheduled for a week later. The day before our rescheduled appointment we received the same message. I called to reschedule giving him the benefit of the doubt because “emergencies” can mean there is a family issue that requires prolonged responsibility and attention. When I called the scheduler said “He doesn’t seem to be able to come in on Thursdays so let’s schedule for a different weekday.” Unfortunately, between dad’s dialysis schedule and my work schedule Thursdays are the only days we have available for appointments. My biggest concern is it appears this dentist really doesn’t have emergencies and just doesn’t come in on Thursdays according to the scheduler. Using “emergencies” as an excuse is an integrity issue. If you are not going to care for patients on Thursdays for whatever reason just close your availability as to NOT INCONVENIENCE patients. Needless to say we have scheduled with another dentist."
"Let me make this clear, every dr of any kind has always told me I’m their best patient due to the fact I sit still, be calm and happy, and patient etc.. the moment this dentist walked into the room, my heart started racing. I had a huge hole in my tooth, and it was hurting in my neck and all up the left side of my face, jaw, forehead, and into my head all the way to the very top. He was never concerned of infection, even though I had many symptoms, and he did not care about my pain. There was no friendly greeting or sympathy. He told me I had to do my part (brush) to help my teeth.. not knowing my history of why my teeth are the way they are, just immediate judgement. When he numbed me with the needle, he was so heavy handed I was almost instantly in tears, which, I have never done before, I take pain differently due to my chronic illness.. when I begged him to stop, he did NOT stop. And I immediately went into a panic attack, as I was being held down and a needle roughly put into my mouth.. to get to the point- this man has no sympathy or respect for his patients. Im considering calling a lawyer. I walked out after he numbed me. Or I should say ran out. Do NOT go here, especially if you are alone like I was. I’d love to know if anyone else has had these issues with him."
"I needed to find a new dentist and gave dentist in Perrysburg a shot. I am terrified to death of a dentist and the dentist in Perrysburg made me so welcoming and took care of me and calmed my anxiety I would recommend them to any age"
"This place is a joke. Received 2 confirmation text stating if I do not cancel with 24 hour notice I will be charged $25. I take my son to his appointment 9am office is closed, has sign on door stating out to lunch till 1pm. I call the number I originally set appointment, number not working, called number on door and the answering service is saying she was off she doesn't know why no one is there. Huh? She will call me back. In the meantime 2 other patients have arrived. Still no one in office. I look location up on goggle, it says permanently closed. What? I call the number on door again because it's been 20 min and no return call. She then tells me the dentist had a emergency and the office is closed for the day and someone will call me back to reschedule appointment. Needless to say I never received a reschedule call. There is a reason the rating is low. To be honest how they have a 2 star rating blows my mind. It should really have a -2 star rating or a beware rating. I think this place is a scam. Who doesn't have office staff open office even if there is a dental emergency? Clearly this is a pattern with this office if you read other reviews! Don't waste your time!"
"Five stars for the receptionist, Aquaria. She is excellent-- friendly and professional. This dentist office is a necessity in our community as it is one of the few that serves Medicaid clientele. Thank you for your good work."
