"Today I did my '22 taxes to find out a mistake had been made on my '21 taxes. My tax preparer for '21, Harry Arnold, had not claimed my 401k disaster tax deferment he had held up for a week last year to figure out how to file. Joscelyn white wood, my '22 tax preparer, found this mistake filed an amendment and made this sound like no big deal(180 dollar difference). However when I return with completed and signed paperwork for '22(wife's signatures), the receptionist tells me I have MORE paperwork from joscelyn and sends me home with no information no instructions. Come to find out I'm being instructed to mail $8k to state and federal because of the '21 tax error. After a short game of telephone between the receptionist and the bridge street office I eventually go to bridge street to confirm this is correct. I met by Zach andre, who does confirm that I owe $8k, repeatedly remarks THAT I HAVE filled out the taxes wrong and that despite getting it every single year I did not get the piece of mind, that would cover a portion of THIER mistake. Whe. Asked if I have any other recourse, I am told and I quote "you could not file it and hope they never figure it out"...... I WAS ADVISED TO COMMIT A FELONY!!!!! if your taxes are more difficult than the standard deduction and earned income, I highly advise a different tax agent. Their "tax pros" are little more than trained button pushers, essentially doing turbo tax on your behalf for 400+ dollars. And before you respond "HR Block (owner)" you've already been contacted with slightly less of a sub standard result given by your Chillicothe counterparts."
