"I cannot say enough about Mary Catherine Barrett and her staff. My wife and I had a terrible experience with a previous adoption. We had a finalized adoption in September, 2018 and when the bio-parent withdrew his consent after the adoption was finalized the court realized that there was a mistake and vacated our adoption as we were moving to a different state. I contacted many attorneys and only Mary got back to me. She reviewed my case and then explained to me what had went wrong. I then hired her to oversee my case. To keep a long story short, this adoption went on for 3 years. Mary had to navigate through an extremely complex situation. There were multiple briefs filed, appeals made, and finally a brand new petition for adoption that she oversaw. I followed her advice every step of the way and On December 13, 2021 we finalized the adoption and this time the adoption was done thoroughly and there is no chance for it to be reversed. This is all due to how thorough Mary and her staff are. Mary is well-respected by her peers and her attention to detail is exceptional. I could go on, but this review is already too long. To sum up. I am glad I returned her phone call three years ago. It was a call that changed my family's life. I highly recommend her."

"I hired this lady to be my attorney in my interstate adoption process. We went to her office, we explained we had an adoption arranged with a woman in Arizona. We already had our lawyer in AZ, but we needed to hire somebody in Cleveland to represent us. She initially charged us of $4,000 to start our process, even if she said she never did an interstate adoption. We agreed and gave her a check. She took her time to start working on our case and when we finally got to her to ask her when she'll start working on our case (which it was already about to finalize), she literally made a mess of our process, started fights with out AZ lawyer (which we kept in contact), at the point our AZ lawyer wasn't able to work with her at all. We had to fire her as our lawyer and even if she BARELY worked on our case (we know this cause our AZ lawyer was in contact with her), and even like that she only refunded us a couple of hunded dollars.... She ripped us off in the most expensive process we've ever been and played with the illusions of getting out child. She is a SHARK, and all what she cares in money... Luckly I found an amazing lawyer which did the whole work for not even $2,000.- Now I have an amazingly beautiful son, BUT NOT BECAUSE OF YOU. THANKS FOR NOTHING LADY."
