"terrible service can’t get ahold of nobody, no calls back in a week. I was involved in a car accident a week ago and can’t even get my police report. What is this? I have left voicemails to the sheriff that was involved in the report no answer back. Also multiple voicemails to the Greene County Sheriffs Office nobody will answer me back. Government needs to lock down on this place TERRIBLE SERVICE"
"I went to get a background check for a job. I was required to go here. Online, the hours said 8-3. I went on a Wednesday, waited outside in the cold before curtly being told they are closed Wednesdays. I came back Thursday at 8am, waited for them to open. The two women in the office were demeaning, rude, curt and said I needed to make an appointment. Nowhere on the multiple door signs did it say that. I got the hours off the website and it didn't say that. They didn't bother to tell me when they turned me away. They held up a printed page they said wad from the website explaining that. I said I never saw it. They said they were to busy today and I'd just have to leave and make an appointment. Thing is, I'm not mad I misunderstood/missed the info about filing an appointment. I'm upset at the rudeness, the short, hostile responses. They were deliberately unfriendly and mean. So rude. Some politeness in the way you treat people and give the exact same information would go a long way."
"CCW process was super easy and convenient. The girl at the counter was both professional and cordial. All other counties have at least a 1 month wait. My county is booked until late Feb! As far as I know, this is the only county that does walk-ins at the moment, so very appreciative that this Sheriff's office offers this service."
"Turned in paperwork for my Concealed carry permit and went through the process in a timely manner. Received my License in the mail 6 days later. The lady doing paperwork was professional and nice during the process."
"The only reason they get a one is because a zero is not possible. I am a canvasser for a nonprofit group and have had two issues back to back with deputies. The first deputy was rude and I seriously felt threatened. He also did not like me questioning why he said something when it wasn't true. He started to approach me but stopped like he knew not to do something. The second deputy was nicer but did not know the law. First he tried to tell me where he pulled me over that there was a no soliciting sign out front to which I knew there wasn't. He followed me out and saw there wasn't. He also tried to tell me that I needed a permit in the city and the only place I really could go was rural areas. He also told me that even Jehovah Witnesses needed a permit. I checked with the three cities I am in and this is not true. Then, he tried to yell me even without signs, I am not allowed in Beavercreek Township and no permits are issued there. He made it sound like if a person doesn't like me going around that all they need to do is call and the deputies will come and it will just be wasting my time. Both deputies tried to make the law, but when interfering with my legal rights, they are breaking the law and in this case, if it continues, they will be in violation of my civil rights. I respect the law, but they need to continue training to know all the laws and just because they don't like something, I get the feeling they are going to make up something. I met my state representative while out canvassing and have contacted him. He said as long as I honor no soliciting signs, I am within my rights. He also said to let them know if I need anything further. I also contacted the Sherriff Captain and his response was, "did the deputy violate the law". After thinking about it, yeah he did by harassing me and trying to say I was doing something. He called me suspicious and said he found it strange the way I was doing something. Also, his hot headed approach will lead to something worst if not addressed. I asked the captain to call me back, but it looks like I will simply be followed. I tried to call tonight and they did not answer. This is not a good sign for people who patrol and have weapons. I have saved this and will post where needed to get my voice out."
