"I am in the process of a claim where the other person is at fault but the cop didn't do a great job and decided no one as fault on the police report. Erie so far has been so helpful! Erin, Mike, Dennis and Heidi have been very very helpful. Explaining everything to me and keeping me up to date. I will come back to finish my review when it is all said and done! 2/6 Still like Erie and still going through the process of a claim. I did get what I needed from my car being totaled already! We got the police to re-look into the case and they found the lady at fault and cited. I went to tell my insurance and for some no one contacted me back last week. Finally after some emails and voicemails, I got ahold of Erin today. She took the information and is sending it to the at fault party's insurance. Will keep updated and still staying with 4 stars."
"I have been a client of Erie Insurance for over 40 years and I insure 15 single family homes and multiple cars with them. I have paid over $80,000 in premiums in the last 15 years without a single claim on any of the 15 policies. So when the storm hit our area last week and caused roof damage I filed a claim with my agent on Monday morning. It took 8 days for Erie to dispatch an adjuster. There were daily phone calls or emails to my agent and/or the corporate office, but Erie personnel refused to commit as to when they would have an adjuster look at my property. As a stupid move, Erie tried sending an independent adjuster from Florida, but after starting out for Ohio he turned around and went home; an independent adjuster from Florida cannot earn a living looking at minor wind damage in Ohio. Eventually a local adjuster was assigned after my complaints. Claim was settled promptly. Zero stars for claims response but 5 stars for settlement = 3 overall."
"I was hit by their insured driver. They were every transparent through the entire process! Took a while to gather the papers they needed. They stayed in touch to let me know they were still working on the claim. Very smooth process besides the medical paper to get to them. Thank you so much for all the help."
"This place hires second rate engineers so they can deny your claim against a second rate business. That Operates out of their garage basically I wouldn’t come here To insure anything. Three roofing companies and a city engineer told me something totally different than this Insurance’s second rate engineer and they go with that and I get screwed with roof damage. Keep those purse strings tight you’re doing a great job serving humanity LOL"
"Called about getting an insurance policy, after taking my info this insurance agent just laughs at me and acts like I'm a felon. I'm not. I have no DUI's and only one small bumper scratcher accident from 6 years ago. Of course they bring that up. They mention I have has my license suspended and that's a problem. Yes I have, from not paying a fine on a ticket. The state of Virginia has ruled suspending people's licenses for failing to pay fines as unconstitutional. This shouldn't be a concern for an insurance company, but of course it is. So after telling me they wouldn't insure me they then tell me since my mom has insurance with them that they will now exclude me from ever being covered if I'm driving her car. What do I have to do with her? I don't live with her. That has to be illegal for them to make that connextion. Insurance is a scam and they only want the people with the 2004 model year car they bought brand new and it has 11,000 miles on it sitting in the garage. That's their target customer. If you drive 30,000+ miles a year like I do you're bound to get a ticket or two. Forget about getting insured."
