"She’ll rob you blind! This is the first year my husband and I haven't used TurboTax. We knew it would be a little more expensive but we felt the convenience would be worth it. I decided to use Thumbtack to get quotes. Most of the quotes were for $215-$230. I get a message from Patti that said she guaranteed the lowest rate and to call for a consultation. I made an appointment, in which my taxes were started. At no time was I informed of her fee. I spent an hour or so there and then made a follow up appointment with her son. He ended up being "stuck in traffic" for the 45 mins we were there (never showed while we were there). Her newly hired secretary had to complete the returns. It wasn't until I received my refund that I saw I was charged $720 for her services!! That is just ridiculous in my opinion. Fees that high need to be told up front. I sent her an email asking about it and never received a response. I will not be returning."
