"My boss talked me into Deferred Comp in 1989, BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE!!!!"
"Slow processing, especially initially, but you won't find a better and more cost effective 457 provider in Ohio than ODC. I was definitely concerned about the switch away from Vanguard to a private company for investing. So we will see how it goes..."
"I have been with them since 1996. Over time the funds have changed but overall I have found them very customer friendly. ODC is a great place to save for retirement."
"I have been with deferred comp for about 8 years now, but I stopped contributing to my account today. I’m extremely concerned with the board’s recent decision to switch from Vanguard index funds to State Street index funds. I was informed by a representative at deferred comp today that State Street index funds process their dividends internally, so we will no longer see these transactions on our deferred comp account statements. I was told that it adds more price stability and efficiency to the funds. That makes little to no sense when we’re talking about an S&P 500 index fund that by definition is a passive fund that is not actively managed. Additionally, when I asked for the ticker symbols for the State Street index funds, I was informed that they do not exist because these funds are “white label funds.” This also makes no sense to me and appears to be very shady at a minimum. I’m extremely disappointed in the board’s decision to switch as they have removed both transparency and trustworthiness in the investment process for their members investing in index funds. Members deserve better from their fiduciaries."
"Horrible customer service and this place is a scam. Been with them since 2017. Called today to withdraw some funds which are much needed. They told me they can't unless it's to pay for medical expenses, auto accident and utilities shutoff. Are you kidding? Every month I have been paying them money so what do you mean I can't have my money. Duh!!! It's my money!! Place is a scam and I'm having my lawyer get involved"
