"I ordered a TV stand. They offered swatches, but I declined and just ordered the finish from the picture on the website. I placed my order online after hours. I received an email the next day. I was prompted to call to confirm details. Customer service was amazing. Shipping seems expensive, but this isn't wait around for someone to show up and throw a package on your porch shipping. I was contacted by the shipping company to arrange an exact delivery date and time. They gave me a 2 hour window, not wait all day and wonder. They contacted me through text to confirm exactly when they'd be there as they got closer to my location. They arrived exactly when they said they would. The shippers were very professional and my furniture was wrapped in a blanket so it didn't get damaged. The TV stand itself is absolutely beautiful and well made. The finish is exactly what it looked like on the website. I will absolutely buy from them again whenever I need real wood quality furniture. It took 3 months, I was given a timeframe of 3 to 4 months lead time to build my piece. It's well worth the price and the wait."
"I have purchased here for many years, most recently in 2023. Wait times: 10 years ago, about 3 months. Now, in 2023, 10 months. Yes, you read that right, 10 months. Customer service: Zero updates; you have to call them. Answers aren’t truthful regarding build progress and shipping status. I learned this while speaking with another employee regarding my repeated order delays. Quality: In all fairness, my next issue is not a reflection of Amish Outlet, it regards their Amish furniture builders. 1. Stain colors differ significantly from samples sent to you. Also, when ordering the same stain color on multiple pieces, they do not match. Probably because they can come from different builders. However, if ordered from the same line (same builder) at different times, they won't match either; at least that has been my experience. 2. Joinery (the way pieces are connected to one-another). Amish builders use bottom-of-the-line pocket joints, and use them where they'll show! This results in unsightly angular holes about 3/8" wide and 1-1/2" long. Note: Matching plugs are readily available. These plugs are used by 'true professional' furniture makers (prior to finishing), but only when there is no other option but to have a pocket joint in view, which should be very seldom. All furniture-quality joinery that you see in Amish furniture is actually faux (fake), with the exception of dovetail drawers; where they’re NOT showing! Figure that one out. This aspect of Amish build “quality" is beyond unacceptable; hard to believe actually. I’m a finish carpenter, but those not knowing quality construction will also notice these pocket joint hole eyesores right away. I have a headboard/footboard; glass top coffee table, and display unit that all have "in-your-face" pocket joint holes, and right where you can’t miss them. Fortunately I know how to decoratively hide them, you may not be so lucky. Even IKEA uses far-superior, mechanically locked dowel joints. Side note: The glass for the coffee table was not test fit, so it came 1/2" undersize. I was unable to find similar quality decorative glass, so I had to settle for what my local glass shop could provide. Selection: I thought it was very good, then I found QW Furniture. Prices: I thought they were reasonable, then I found QW. Customer service: I knew it was bad, then I found QW. Wait time: Ridiculously slow, then I found QW. Bottom line: You will do much better with QW Furniture. Price; selection, and customer service, all surpass Amish Outlet by a significant margin. Many items are by the same builders as Amish Outlet, so I may still have to modify the furniture to conceal the glaring pocket joint holes. We shall see, I have an order pending. As a longtime journeyman carpenter, I’ve built high-end cabinets and basic furniture for years. So speaking from experience, I hope you find my fair and objective review helpful. Tom"
"I have 12 pieces of furniture from this store ranging from a foot rest, dining counter height chairs, desk chair, end tables, queen bed, daybed, blanket chest, entry door bench, TV stand and a rocker. Great quality & heavy. I plan on buying more in the future."
"Just received my second order from these folks, and it was worth the wait. The wood looks like a work of art while also being incredibly sturdy. With regards to the delivery process, our driver had some mechanical issues but still made a quick delivery. Overall, a great experience."
"AMISH OUTLET STORE OF OHIO IS GREAT. Buy your furniture from them. We made a custom order of Bennett dining chairs in a gray stain. They said it would likely take about 6 months to fulfill the order. We wanted them anyway, so placed our order. Then they called and scheduled an early delivery, after only about 3 months. Then their driver called that he was on his way, a day early. We received the 8 chairs safe and sound. He had wrapped each chair in thick furniture moving pads, completely protecting each chair. Perfect condition. Spectacular quality. These are built like a battleship. I honestly think I could drop one of these from our 2 story rooftop down to the ground and it would be just fine. We'll have these the rest of our lives. And the lumbar curvature in the chair back feels even more comfortable than we imagined. Highly recommend the Amish Outlet Store. Their furniture are works of art. They are not cheap, but are worth every penny and more. Spend your money on furniture once. Do it right the first time and you'll cherish them all of your life."
