"Amazing customer service. I drive a 2013 BMW 335i AH3 F30 and I have M3 rims with the car lowered. My stock alignment parameters caused the inner back and front tires to wear prematurely. This was the only shop that would do a custom alignment on my car. I have been monitoring my tire wear and the custom alignment has fixed my wear issue. I highly recommend this shop for your alignment needs.!"
"I just wanted to post a "Thanks" to the TIC Crew. I'm going on my 8th year with this engine and needless to say, Subaru people would joke, it's passing expectations. Clint really did a fantastic job assembling the motor and for years its been relatively maintenance free and provides enjoyment everytime I take it out. Its been years since I stepped foot in their shop but wouldnt hesitate to do so again if I needed help."
"This is going to be an honest review after taking my cars here a few times. Told me my car needed work it didn’t need. (Tried to sell me transmission mounts when I just replaced them - that tells me they didn’t even look at them, they were just trying to upsell). Price of work is very high. Recently increased fees and now charge extra % on labor if you try to supply your own parts - so they can make more margin on them “buying” the parts themselves for a marked up price instead. I only buy OEM parts from dealers with receipts so that sucks for you moving forward. Towed one of my cars in as it was knocking. I knew it needed a new motor. I told them it needed a new motor. I made it very clear I was looking for a budget option like a used engine or something. They refused to give me a general quote before looking at the car so I reluctantly paid to have it towed in out of my own pocket so they could do their inspection and give me a quote. Their inspection consisted of turning the car on, taking a picture of the oil pressure light and sayin “yep - it’s knockin”. Things we all knew already. The quote I received was definitely a FU price of ~$12-13k. More than the car was worth. When I asked why they couldn’t put in a used motor or rebuild my engine for half the price, which is what my other shop quoted, they said they only build new. Well - why didn’t you tell me that before I paid to tow it there and back when I said I knew it would need a rebuild/engine replacement. Why not send a general ballpark quote before I waste my money towing it 30 miles? I still give them stars for knowing what they’re doing and maybe if I have a really problematic issue that needs diagnosing I’ll take it in, but you’re paying for it. And I read their replies here that “maybe other shops are just cheap and you should ask why.” Nah - shops in Cincinnati are more expensive than my regular shops when I lived in Austin, TX - a far more expensive city. And their work was fantastic without weird CS issues. Overall my customer support and dealing with the people has been mixed. They fix my issues but then say I need something I don’t. They quote me on some things and mislead me on others. They’re incredibly expensive. I understand they’re well regarded and if money is no issue, I would take my car here for everything. They’re well booked out for weeks at a time so clearly people don’t have an issue with that. I’d just say - hammer out the issues. Mechanically they’re great, though. I’ve found another shop I take my cars to, now. It’s an hour away, and if I have to leave my car there, I have to pay a $60 uber to get back home, but labor rates are on par with those Austin rates I talked about, they race Subaru’s for a living and are incredibly knowledgable, customer support and turn around times are incredible, and they haven’t lied about work my car needs. I hope y’all take my comment as earnest criticism. You clearly do good work, I recognize it and the people you charge much higher than average for the city realize it as you are one of the only serious racing shops anywhere in the area, but some of the communication issues are odd. And the lying still erks me the wrong way over a year later. Edit: Was willing to give them another shot to try to diagnose a long-standing issue with my Subaru. Obviously, my review and previous interactions irked them and they're refusing to take my business. I'm miffed they lied and their prices are steep and I was too loud about it. That's their choice and I'll respect it. Just - buyer beware. Ask a lot of questions, know what you're getting yourself into. I don't think TiC is a bad shop at the end of the day - I just got the short end of the stick multiple times where others got flawless service. I think with more due diligence and maybe being a bit more forward rather than rely on reviews after the fact, I probably would have come out better."
"Turn In Concepts was able to help me pick out the perfect parts to fit my exact request. They were also able to turn it around quickly, and answer every question I had about future projects. They are very knowledgeable and I highly recommend."
