"As you can see from our first review, we were pleased with the work Red Barn Cabinet company had performed so we had them back to do two more larger offices. We worked the price to fit our budget and agreed to do the work. We scheduled times to perform the work around our office staff for less interruption within our HVAC business. Their subcontractors showed up on time, we would have preferred a little more communication, but overall the subs did a good job. The quality of the product was good as expected. However, where we had some issues this time is that we were not informed properly where the electric and data outlets needed to be. Had we known exactly, we could have moved them ourselves and they would have not had to cut through the back of the cabinets and we would not have had to use extension cords, which we would rather not do. We then had some stains on the front of the cabinets left from how they were wrapped with bubble wrap or tape. The subs were sent with what appeared to be an stronger cleaner spray than needed and it left many smearing marks, etc. I emailed BJ and let her know that all was going well, but we were not happy about the outlet issue and the marks on the cabinets. We asked her if "they" BJ/Mark the actual owners who sold us the job could come out to see what they think. We about fell over when she refused to come out and told us that their subcontractor could handle any issue we had. We've been in business for 30 years and have never heard of such a thing where an owner does not care enough to come out and address a problem. When subcontractor arrived the next day, we asked if they had any other cleaning agent to clean the cabinets and he said, they sent me out with only the same kind. Needless to say, we've spent over four hours cleaning off the wrong cleaner and then attempting to clean the original markings, which have yet to come completely off. By the way, in the 2nd room, we moved all outlets prior to them arriving, which shaved hours off their installation time. A few days after the job was complete, BJ was emailing asking how soon we could pay, even though their contract says "net 30 days". Note: This is the longest review we've ever written, but we are so frustrated from the lack of customer service, we felt future potential customers should know this. It's very unfortunate that we will not be able to use Red Barn for the future work we have. Quality is only half the job, Customer Service finishes it! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We've had a many contractors over the years working in our buildings and on jobs. Red Barn was a WOW! From the first email to them, the phone calls, the estimate, all went very smooth, but the installers went above and beyond to do a high quality job. They were nice guys who actually talked to us and cleaned up well. I am very hard to please...and they did just that!! I can recommend them highly! Greg McAfee"
