Reviews of United Dairy Farmers
"I hate to complain I came in the other day to get ice cream from my daughter the tall skinny girl not sure her name was rude as hell she had attitude my daughter just wanted ice cream it's part of the Job to scoop ice cream didn't have to be rude then I came in tonight and that same girl was rude again slamming stuff and everything as I walked out the door i said I'm not coming here again I wouldn't want someone working for me with a attitude everytime they come in please do better on who you hire"
"I went in for a couple packs of cigarettes, Josh is underage and needed to get the other employee to check me out. Absolutely no problem! While walking towards her she turns around, looks at me and almost scolds him for making me wait! I wasn't waiting on him, we were talking about how low to ice cream inventory was. Please don't berate these younger employees. For one thing he did nothing wrong and it's incredibly rude to reprimand an employee in front of customers. No wonder kids don't want to work!"
"I came in this evening at about 6pm for two milkshakes. Of the 3 young guys playing behind the counter, 1 finally asked if I wanted anything. I ordered. He began making the first milkshake; putting way too much milk in before the ice cream and then pouring the abundance of milk into the ice cream scoop washer next to the ice cream. He then began mixing it but not before pouring more milk from the cup into the trash. He lost about a scoop and a half of ice cream to the mixer...it was everywhere. The entire time he was more concerned with his two coworkers playing and talking than he was about the customer. I'm not the kind to think the customer is always right or that people have to be robotic while working...but you have to prioritize your current task over socializing. I walked out without hesitation after the ordeal. Did not accept the milkshake and drove to Graeters for prompt and respectful service at a similar price. Plus a drive thru. People will go elsewhere if your team doesn't take pride in what they do and how they present themselves. Dipside has become such an obvious pain for employees and there are too many options for other places to get an ice cream or shakes without feeling like they're burdening staff. And whats udf without the ice cream? Just another gas station. Employees need incentive. Dipside is way more work then ringing out and stocking. Money talks; perhaps dipside should have dedicated workers at a slightly higher pay. Incentives work. Just my opinion. Personally this is the second negative experience I've had at this udf location and with the road closure next to it-I doubt I'll ever be back."
"I went to the Eastgate location, I entered the store at approximately 10:40 pm, there was a young lady and a young man running the store, I purchased 4 packs of cigarettes and 2 gallons of milk, I used my U-Drive card and ended up paying full price for my purchase, because the girls friends were in the cooler and she was more worried about them than the customer, I usually pay $34.46 for the items that I purchased and ended up paying $39.97 because she wasn't paying attention, I told her that it was suppose to be less than what I paid and she said that she didn't know how to correct it. So bottom line is I'm out about $5.50 because of them playing around with their friends more than paying attention to what they are being paid to do, which is being attentive to the customer. You need adult supervision on Friday and Saturday evenings so we the customer can get taken care of properly."
"If you have an UDF card, great place to fill up with gas. Automatic $0.03 off a gallon using your UDF card. Also, you can get further gas discounts by buying items in the store, such as a fountain drink. Drop in and get a handmade milkshake or a scoop of ice cream."
