Reviews of United Dairy Farmers
"I no longer live in Cincinnati but grew up there and back visiting on business for a couple of days. I had visited the Terrace Park location on a Friday afternoon in January and gotten great service, so I decided on an encore a day later early in the afternoon on Saturday. This was hands-down the worst UDF I have ever been in. One kid stood at the cash register staring into his phone and couldn’t be bothered. Two other kids were there, one was busy messing around with something in a cup, the other was just wandering back-and-forth staring blankly out into the store. Unless they were all blind they knew someone was standing quietly at the ice cream counter, yet didn’t even bother to help me. I felt absolutely invisible just standing there waiting to place an order for a chocolate malt. Three kids, no help. I finally threw the bags of potato chips I had gotten down on the counter in disgust and walked out. My mother was friends with one of the Lindners and they would’ve been horrified by my customer service experience. I will never darken the doors of this location again."
"DO NOT PAY AT THE PUMP! Udf takes $150 as a debit card hold on top of the amount of gas you get. The sudden loss of $200 out of my account is effecting my bills and family! This is theft!"
"Great location. You can tell theyre short-staffed but they are doing so much better than when my family would come in when the little rude blonde girl ran the place. Usually clean during the day but night time it seems like they care less. Most of the staff is nice.Keep up the good work UDFers!"
"So this was likely the worse experience I've had in a LONG time. Store is disorganized every drink in the fountian machine was messed up in some way. The milk shake was just milk. The food quality is pitiful and gross. I will NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS HELL HOLE. Get it together UDF"
"Like this location! They did some renovations a while back and people love it. I appreciate that this location is clean, floors aren't nasty etc! I will say though that I was stunned during my visit today whenever they had a sign up at the register where you swipe your debit card, and the sign said that they have absolutely ZERO change at all! It said that you must pay with exact change!!! So I asked the lady at the register about it and I think she was the manager. I said so if somebody bought gas for $10.87 then they need to have exactly $10.87? She said yes and said that it was because they haven't had their delivery yet. I do not know how many days they have been going like that but from the sound of it and based off of what she said, it seems as though it'll be like that at least for the next few days. So that means that people cannot pay with cash unless they have exact change. The girl at the register, or I should say woman at the register, told me that "most people pay with credit card anyway ". So, that was her response! I just kind of shrugged it off as I walked out but I have to say I was amazed by her response. Although a lot of people pay with credit or debit card, there still is a majority of people that pay with cash for gas and or any other itemsbat a gas station. I asked her" so what happens if a person needs gas and they do not have exact change"? ...She said that they cannot get the gas! I've been at other places where if they did not have change then the manager would run to a nearby bank and make change. There has to be something in place where they can take $40 out of the register and run to a nearby bank and get change or something. I'm sorry but that's just flat out ridiculous to say that people cannot purchase things unless they have the EXACT amount of money in cash! I'm sorry but it's just unbelievable in this day and age that a gas station would be out of change for several days! We're not living in a time period where things are delivered by horse and carriage and or mail takes weeks to receive etc... So why does UDF not have a policy to where they're able to get change even at a local bank if needed? Or why are they not getting changed to their locations much quicker? Why would it take several days? I wonder if corporate even realizes that they are losing out on tons of money because they are being turned away all because they cannot buy items when they do not have exact change. The woman at the register was right, a lot of people do pay with credit and debit card, but since when did people not use cash and change to pay for items too? Everybody knows that people pay with cash everyday all day just like they do with credit and debit cards! I can't even imagine the amount of money this location has lost out on because they do not have a decent system setup and or may not have people that want to try to solve an issue and rather just throw up a sign because it's easier to do so!"
