Reviews of Timber Ridge Campground
"Nice campground. We have stayed here most of the summer. Only leaving for a few weeks due to them being booked. Very happy with our stay."
"We enjoyed most of the summer at Timber Ridge. Our lake lot was quite lovely and had a concrete pad. There were lots of activities going on, including live music on a couple of the Saturday nights. Super nice managers here!"
"Pros: Quiet and peaceful. Many (most?) of the sites have long cement pads, so sites are extremely level and set up is easy. Plenty of room between sites and cement pad has plenty of room for your rig and vehicle. Small pond for fishing. Beautiful indoor pool. Friday night Bingo was held at the Pavilion while we were there. Pavilion is old and falling apart, but perhaps they are renovating it ? Beautiful little Dining Room off of office – on some nights the campground serves dinners. The people in the office were very nice. Lots of TV channels with antenna. Cons: The entrance to the campground looks really rough – abandoned rusted out rail cars and buildings. You have to drive on into the campground before you can see the nice areas. WIFI only exists at office – either on the porch or in the Dining Room, but they told us this when we booked, so there was no false advertising. Roads into and around the grounds need attention – lots of potholes. We arrived on a Thursday night after there had been a bad thunderstorm the night before. On Thursday afternoon, when we wanted to swim, the pool was closed. The owner explained that even though the pool is indoors, he is required to close the pool when there are thunderstorms. That seemed to explain why it was closed Thursday, but on Friday, we once again tried to use the pool and although the weather was fine and no thunderstorms were predicted, the pool remained closed all day. This is probably not typical, but it was disappointing to us as we really wanted to use the pool. We recommend this campground to stay for a night or two as you are passing through. We would return if we are in the area again."
"We were happy with this campground. We use the Bathhouse when we travel and this one was newly remodelled and very clean! Pool house is amazing. Sites are on cement pads with ample room between trailers!"
"We stayed in one of the small cabins and loved it! It was really clean and everything looked new. I would definitely stay there again but I would bring some paper and tape to cover up the window in the door because it got light in the cabin by 6:30am. It also didn't get very dark in the cabin at night due to the bright red exit sign over the door and the porch light, which you couldn't turn off. These were the only drawbacks for us. They had tons of activities going on and free breakfast Sunday morning. There's an indoor pool but we never used it. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and modern. Don't leave anything outside. We bought a large bundle of firewood and even though we hid it behind a large tree next to our cabin someone still stole it."
