"If you travel by yourself like I do, don't waste your time if you want to do the self-guided tour. They're rule is that there has to be a minimum of two people in your party. Even though there are a bunch of people going in and out of those two caves. Wasted my time to coming here when I could have gone to many other places."

"Easy cave to explore. Bring flashlights or headlamps and be prepared for wet feet. Be sure to pick up a cave permit at the welcome center before entering, it's free!"

"Laurel cave is one of the caves at Carter Caves State Park. Takes about 15-20 minutes to go through, simple walk, no crawling, takes a little bit bending and treading through water. It’s easy enough, yet has all the elements that make caving fun. Excellent for first-time cavers. Be sure to obtain a permit (free) first so that park rangers will look for you if you don’t show up by the end of the day. See park website for rules. Some people may benefit from having a walking stick for treading water, and definitely wear good shoes and bring redundant flashlights / headlamps."
