Reviews of Howard Pinkley Landing
"Though not strictly a park (as evidenced by the lack of a standard park sign), this public land owned and maintained by the City of Toledo directly off of Shoreland Avenue is nonetheless reserved for outdoor recreation and offers scenic natural views. Named after community recreation enthusiast and longtime resident of the Shoreland/Point Place area Howard Pinkley, this site offers a space for canoes and kayaks to enter the Ottawa River. It features a small boat launch, a flagpole, a metal trash can, and two wooden benches. Despite its rather small size, there is a paved trail for biking or waking that cuts through its center and five parking spaces, plus one accessible space."
"We go to the park. A couple times per wk. Just to relax an enjoy peace an quiet. You can fish small boats can be launched."
"Cute little lakefront to sit and stare at the lake and eat some food. Nice lady that lives in the area offered free babysitting. Too bad we don't live in Ohio!"
"I actually live real close to this place and use it all the time. it's the only place I know of dedicated for canoers or kayakers which is cool. But I must warn you there are a idiots who actually fish off the dock selfishly. It's only for loading and unloading your canoe or kayak not drinking and fishing off a small area. because when there's people there there's no room for you to load your stuff in that really annoys me. Places don't ruin places, people ruin places. We all know that"
"This was very convenient to launch kayaks and go explore the Ottawa river."
