"My hair didn’t last a whole 16 days! The owner was not there when I got my hair braided and the staff was acting like unruly teenagers. Once the owner got there you can tell by her tone of voice and throwing of hair boxes she was not happy with the workers. I texted her about my hair and a touch up with pictures she never responded!"

"I am very pleased with my results. I went into the shop with a picture not expecting them to do my hair exactly like the picture and they exceeded my expectations. Most can't duplicate, and they got away with this one. This was my 2nd time getting my hair braided in 10 yrs since i've been loc'd and a loose natural with no weave whatsoever. That 1st time last year i came out the shop and my head was so sore i took it down the next day. I think it's because i cut my locs off to my new growth and my hair was too short and my head was too sensitive. But fast forward a year later and i went back because i knew it would be quick with multiple braiders, praying my hair wouldn't get braided that tight again and they did just right. I'm very satisfied."

"I have high expectations as it relates to African Hair Braiders. My hair was braided by Ayesha (sp) and she was thorough. The price was reasonable and everyone is working to get customers in and out. I tried Roxanne Braids by the Dayton Mall it was dirty, the people are rude, and unable to do certain styles. Fe Fe's Braids was clean, really nice shop, and professional but extremely overpriced. Mai seems to have the best pricing, quality work, and a variety of styles the braiders are capable of producing. The entire place was filled with customers on a week day, which says Mai has room to grow her business. This was a great experience for me. My braids are neat, tight, I paid upfront and was not asked for more $, and my braider consulted Mai and me to ensure I was satisfied with my hair. This is the place to go, if you are more concerned about a quality style instead of a fancy shop."
