"I really enjoyed coming here for the three months that I was having Amanda do my nails. The atmosphere is great. Not gossipy in the least bit. I’m not really sure what happened the day I went in for a scheduled refill for acrylics. I had messaged a photo of what I wanted to Amanda, about 40-50 mins prior to my appointment. She said she would be unable to do that because it would take more time. Understandable. So I found another set I liked, sent it to her and she said she could do it. Thirty minutes prior to my appointment, she messages me- asking if I was almost there. I replied and said, “it’s at 12:30, right!?” She says, “No, 12.” So I sent her a photo of my appointment confirmation that stated it was at 12:30. She apologized & I showed up for my scheduled appointment. Fast forward. She was actually unable to do the set I asked for. She was rushing because since she thought my appointment was actually at 12pm, she over scheduled and had overlapped appointments. It was so uncomfortable for me. So I just told her we could do gems in place of the half moons, because she was struggling so bad trying to paint the half moons. After my appointment was done, she said she would message me to reschedule. That was fine. No issues. When she did get back to me, she apologized about how my nails turned out & offered to repaint them the following week. I told her no, that is was okay. She had wanted to get my scheduled in for a Thursday, but I told her a Friday would be better. Then I heard nothing for two days. Two days. She never even opened my message to read it. So I assumed in all honesty, that she didn’t want to work with me anymore. That’s just a long time to leave someone hanging. So I messaged her and tried understanding what was going on. It felt a whole lot like being ghosted. She said she had been trying to make space for me because she was booked on Friday. But I would have absolutely worked with her had she communicated that with me to begin with. Instead, she left me hanging for two days before I initiated the conversation. It felt very unprofessional. And it made me feel like my business did not matter. Amanda was not mean or rude. But she did not hold herself accountable for that outcome. I don’t feel like it’s common practice to ignore clients for days. I’m really unsure of why. I don’t feel like I did anything wrong. I always tipped well. I’m quiet. But that’s because I’m a little shy & not much of a “talker” during appointments. But I don’t think I deserved the service I received due to her mistake. Communication really goes a long way."
