Reviews of Little Leaders Child Development Center
"Love this daycare! They go above and beyond for the kids and I always enjoy seeing the different projects that the kids have been working on. Highly recommend!"
"My daughter’s time here at this facility was starting off so promising, I’m actually very disappointed to have to write this review. But as a single mom who depends on the experiences of others for such an important decision, I feel like it’s my duty to inform anyone that may be considering this place. Aside from some minor issues (like twice I picked my daughter up and had yet to be changed of a poopy pull-up. Or some of her clothes that I would pick her up in had poop on them. But I am currently potty training a 2-year-old, so I wasn’t to upset about that). However, the incident that caused me to pull my daughter from the facility was due to the fact her hand was slammed in a metal door at 11 am that morning and NO ONE THOUGHT TO CALL ME. As well as the fact as she was forced to go without appropriate medical care and evaluation and had to use that hand all day!!! I picked my daughter up around 4 pm and immediately noticed her entire left arm was swollen to double the size and the fingers on her left hand looked swollen and bruised. She didn’t even run to me screaming in excitement like she normally does, and looking at her I realized something was seriously wrong. Before I could even ask, the co-owner Eve told me that one of the kids was playing with the doors as they were coming back in from playing outside and slammed my daughter’s hand on accident. But that they didn’t call me because she “seemed fine and was able to use her hand”. But she screamed every time they tried to put ice on it, and she couldn’t sleep during nap as she normally does. I immediately asked what time this happened, and she said 11 am but they didn’t call me because “it was a minor incident”. My heart sank thinking about the fact that I live 3 mins around the corner, and no one called to even let me know this happened, so that I could decide what was “minor” enough to overlook. My poor baby’s fingers were so swollen on that hand she couldn’t even bend them so I’m not quite sure how she allowed that lie to come out her mouth. I am a registered nurse and immediately looking at that hand I thought that her fingers may have been broken and along with being sick to my stomach that my baby was in pain, I was furious because no one called to tell me this! I wish I had taken a picture or done more in the moment, but I think I was just so in shock that someone would be so irresponsible and inconsiderate and not call the parent of someone after an incident like that. Anyways, I did end up taking my daughter to urgent care and SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A BROKEN FINGER. Heartbroken and even more upset thinking about this, honestly it was a no-brainer that my daughter could not stay at this place because if they weren’t sensible enough to think that they should’ve notified me of that, it makes me wonder what else has been overlooked and not reported because they considered it minor. I’m so very disappointed in this facility and honestly think it took me so long to write this because I get so emotional thinking about my baby being in pain all day and no one did anything significant enough to help her and NO ONE CALLED ME and just brushed it off. I think that’s just the most unacceptable thing and will never trust in this place again. I pray that anyone currently using this place or considering this place in the future will never have to experience anything like this to any of their children."
"We absolutely love the teachers at Little Leaders. I am so fortunate to have enrolled my little one here and was so worried I would not find anything as I sought to return to work after FMLA/maternity leave. I was shocked to learn this location was open and accepting applications when other daycares had a wait list years long- it was simply ridiculous. They are newer to the area but much needed and so appreciated as we exit the height of COVID19. Our little one absolutely loves going and they treat her like she is one of their own. The location is secure and they have so many toys to keep the children busy. I do wish their location was larger so they could accommodate the high amount of interest from families in the area. They are growing and I am looking forward to see what they do when they hire on an ECE curriculum specialist. Definitely a gem in the CH community. Also, I love that some teachers are bilingual. Definitely a plus for us."
