Reviews of Easy Living Pools
"Now coming up on a year since our backyard pool project began and the project still isn’t finished. We went from warm fuzzies to quite concerned pretty quickly and never really bounced back. The overall disregard for doing great work while also not considering the fact that the homeowner has to try to recover whatever yard space remains post-project are what led to this rating. Piles and piles of gravel dumped right on top of grass with minimal effort to remove what was left before attempting to hydro seed. Different team members looking at work that another team member completed and saying “I hate when they do it like this” or “oh yeah, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.” Sparse communication with minimal action toward the tail end of the project that makes it seem like they are done with us and ready to move on. Shortcuts left and right that I had to photograph and send in with repeated requests for someone to reply before getting a vague response with no timeline for a fix. For example, failed electrical inspection because of some of the shortcuts which led to another quick lackluster fix pictured with the electrician twisting conduit around the back of a post rather than moving the post to meet code distance from the pool. The one bright spot: the guys that came out to hydroseed my yard saw the amount of rock still scattered throughout my yard and got to work. They did everything they could with shovels and wheel barrows but they were fighting an uphill battle they couldn’t win. In the end they did a phenomenal job with the hand they were dealt and were extremely courteous and thorough. **Update 11/2/23 After posting this review I received a phone call from the owner of the company within 24 hours wanting to see if there was a way to remedy the issue and potentially improve my opinion of the company. I appreciate the effort and work that we'd been waiting months for was finally looked at with some urgency and problems were fixed. Bumping up 1 star as a thank you for the effort. Ultimately if you're not wanting to be the primary project manager and quality control officer for your pool project, you might want to consider other options."
"I had previously worked with Easy Living Pools ~ 5 years ago when they installed a pool in my Grove City home. They did a great job, so when I wanted a pool in my new home in Delaware there was only one choice – Easy Living Pools. Prior to closing on the home, Chris worked with me to design and scope the project, so when I closed on the home we could get started right away. The original install went according to plan and we were in a position to use the pool upon the first “pool season”. After this season, a very unfortunate “act of god” occurred and the entire length of my 35’ pool collapsed. This was due to natural and environmental factors, not workmanship, and this is something neither of us ever expected and were dismayed. Chris and the team could have easily taken the position of “not their problem”, but this never was my experience. Chris was very professional and collaborative in finding a resolution that was agreeable to both parties, fair and went above and beyond to get this corrected ASAP. This included working with local city and township personnel to correct the environmental factors that caused the issue and was expeditious in fixing the pool, so much so that we didn’t miss our 2nd pool season. Over the years, Chris and the team at Easy Living Pools have become not only a great service provider but friends. The entire team is top notch and no mater what day of the week, time of day or what is going on, my calls and messages are answered and resolved."
"We had a 16x35 fiberglass pool installed last Winter/Spring- the planning stage, organized by Brian, was detailed and thoughtful. They were very accommodating for any designs changes and additions. Mark was our project manager and Gary continues to be our service person- excellent job by all and we have been very pleased!"
"Anytime you make a big decision to take on a large construction project you are nervous but easy living has been great throughout the process from the estimate and design to the start of construction, the dig, the concrete, the equipment and the cleanup and getting the yard back together. We had multiple estimates from other places and east living was the best and timing was much quicker than others. I would highly recommend."
"This is both a Thank you to Chris at Easy Living Pools for his persistence at getting our Heat Pump back up and running and a PSA (Public Service Announcement) for those of you that have heat pumps for your pools. We couldn't get the heater to turn on when opening the pool this year, so I called Chris on a SATURDAY and he answered!!! He came out a couple days later and discovered mice had made our heat pump their home over the winter and literally ate the entire inside. (see photos, in one photo you can even see the last little guy that remained) It did take Chris several weeks of emails and phone calls to the heat pump manufacturer but he was finally able to obtain the necessary parts to do the repair. Although it was still not an inexpensive fix, a new one would have been 6 times more. We now have a ridiculous amount of mouse bait and traps around our heat pump, so we don't go through this again. You should too!!! Thanks Chris and Easy Living Pools."
