UToledo Student Recreation Center 2800 East Rocket Drive, Toledo, OH 43606

"I used to LOVE going here. Largely because of the very nice basketball courts but the gym and other amenities are nice too. I am not a student nor UT faculty/employee but rather just a local resident. The whole pay to park situation is ridiculous and outrageously over priced for someone like me who doesn't visit daily. Visitors beware of this... I was hit with 3 expensive parking tickets after a few visits within a 10 day span, long after I had been there or knew anything about having to pay (There had never been a pay to park there in the past before). Nobody told me the lot had been sold to a 3rd party company who was then charging to park with hidden cameras to take pictures of your car and then send you the bills in the mail after. Those 3 gym visits within that short time frame cost me a couple hundred dollars. No more day passes to the rec center is now pretty lame as well. Front desk personnel sometimes don't know how to help or answer questions and there seem to be different "rules" with each visit. I have given up trying to go here any more and I used to really enjoy it."

"Clean, reasonably priced. They did get rid of some old equipment that was actually pretty nice; too bad - a leg machine and some inclines that i was using years ago. Pool is great. Staff is attentive and ready to help"

"I honestly think the hours are getting ridiculous, closing earlier and earlier as years pass by, I remember the good old days when REC closes at 12am. I understands COVID changed a lot of things, but spring break, winter break, summer break hours and every so often maintenance closure are driving me nut. Then why are you offering membership to ALUMNI? The REC hours should not subject to school schedule if you decide to open to public? Does it make sense? $150 membership for March 5, to May 7, it is definitely expansive. How is this even justifiable? You do not pro rate it, and you call yourself the University of Toledo, please renovate the mindset. The Alumni here is to show support, but I truly do not see the the benefit being loyal and supportive anymore. Always disappointment to communicate with the students who messed up my membership and parking at least twice a year, manager is never there. I paid for semester parking and still got citation, it was the student that put my car plate incorrectly. Even after they make correction, they still will charge me $16 ???? University of Toledo. I welcome to have anyone to contact me to discuss my frustration."

"This place is will not waste my time any longer. I don't know why but there are not enough lifeguards at the pool, can hardly get a swim lane if at all, this is pretty much the only reason I come to this place, oh and the non-existent hot tub that is still listed in the aquatics page. No effort has been made to fix it, it has been down since I have been a member I'm June. Not to mention that nobody uses a towel or removes their shoes when going in the sauna, only working thing in the pool area, disgusting! The gym seems fine equipment might be a little worn but overall good. Bottom line, maybe try the YMCA instead, that is where I'll be going in the future, ya know where they don't charge for parking. Extremely disappointed"
