"We contracted with Elite Pools & Spas in Findlay, OH to build our first in-ground pool. We made a deposit on 7/10/21 knowing the build would be approximately one year out due to COVID-related backlogs. The time estimate we were given was very accurate - we had our first pool guests on 8/6/22. We had a lot of questions during the process and Dennis and Betina were very patient with us as we navigated this new endeavor. Their knowledge and experience in the pool industry were what we were looking for in a pool builder. We struggled with where to place the pool and Dennis gave us various renderings with great ideas. The time it took for our pool to be made allowed us to tweak the layout of our new pool so we got exactly what we wanted. Dennis and his experienced crew handled all phases of the build which allowed the process to move along smoothly. You may be tempted to think you’ll save a little money having a friend of a friend do one part and another friend do a different part, but the headaches of trying to coordinate the work will invariably cause delays in the build process and make the anticipated cost savings irrelevant. All of the crew members and contractors on-site were polite, respectful of our property, and hard-working professionals. Dennis expertly operated the excavator as he and his crew measured, leveled, filled, connected, checked, and double-checked to make sure everything was just right. They knew what they had to do and they did it. In addition, they cleaned up after themselves so we never had garbage left at the end of the day! Getting an in-ground pool is an exciting event and it’s easy to forget that the company has other clients. They have several pool projects in different phases of the build process at any given time. Respect the company’s knowledge and experience to plan day-to-day operations, be patient, and your dream pool will be waiting for you at the finish line. "My family and I started our pool project over a year ago. We started the process with Elite Pools and Dennis (owner) as they were the only ones that could install a pool in 2022. The first thing Dennis helped us with is the decision between fiber glass and vinyl and the design of the pool. Once that was determined Dennis helped guide us through the many options filtering system, heated/non heated, pool covers other things that come with a pool. Elite pools will also do a scope of work and payment schedule contract. This spells out everything that they will do and responsible for and also what the new pool owner is responsible for. The best part of the preconstruction process is the computer layout of your new pool and how it will fit into your proposed pool area. Ours was behind our house next to our new Pool Haus addition. Dennis showed the pool layout, concrete, landscaping and fence next to the house and new addition. It really helps you visualize the pool and area around it. We actually turned our pool 180 degrees after looking at the layout. The construction of the pool is a process with the layout, dirt excavation, transportation and setting of the fiber glass pool. The stone back fill and concrete are also a lot of work but went really well. The concrete was stamped and we added quite a bit more than what is in the contract. We really like how it looks in our pool area. During all this Dennis is either present or checking on his crew while staying in communication with us. Another thing I like about Elite Pools is Dennis’s availability for questions or problems. Just recently I called him about a problem I had with my new sump for my automatic cover. He told me what to do and problem solved. Come to find out he was on a holiday vacation but still took my call. Putting a pool in is a process but with Dennis and the Elite Pool crew’s work and guidance we will be enjoying our new pool this summer."

"As promised, I’m updating the progress of our pool installation. Because we have another construction project in conjunction with the pool install, I asked Dennis if he could postpone the trench digging for all underground lines until all heavy equipment for the other project was off site. Because Elite Pools is committed to customer satisfaction he readily agreed. That work ended last Friday and on Tuesday Dennis’ crew returned to begin the final stages of our pool install. Coordinating two major construction projects could be very stressful but with Dennis’ flexibility he has eliminated that stress. His crew is now back and ready to finish our project as soon as possible. Dennis is communicating with our other contractor to make sure the electric and gas lines are exactly where they need to be. Throughout this project Dennis has made every effort to accommodate our requests. As this project winds down I’ll post another review with photos of the finished pool. I’m certain we will be thrilled with the final results."
