Reviews of BrightPath Union Child Care Center
"I am in love with this center and so is my daughter. She is shy at first but all the teachers made her feel welcomed. Now she is excited to go to "school". They keep the children engaged and excited to learn. They also share videos and pictures in the app so I can see what they are doing. The communication is top notch."
"It used to be a really good place, but unfortunately we had awful experience after awful experience here as of lately. The communication is extremely poor. The teacher turnover is even worse. Open state investigations; ask questions. Our child gets hurt here and no one follows up or returns calls. Corporate does not return calls either. Regional director and director of center do not answer emails or calls. There are some good teachers here; unfortunately they are understaffed and administration is poor. One of the more expensive daycares at that as well. **Only reason for the recent positive reviews is they are doing a giveaway on their social media pages if you leave a positive review on here."
"We love our Union Bright Path Child Care Center! We started taking our daughter when she turned 1 year old in the toddler room. She is now 2 1/2 years old and in the preschool room. She's had the same teacher, Paige, since she was one and loves her! The place is nice and clean; she's always happy when we pick her up. We're bilingual and she's quickly learning English in addition to her alphabet, numbers, and colors. They are also encouraging potty training and partnering with us so she can be potty trained soon!"
"I love the changes that have been made. My son loves going to school everyday. It’s always welcoming when I enter the building. I love the communication and pictures I receive everyday."
"My 3 month old baby went to The Children’s House in Union but after 3 days, I have taken him out and reported this daycare to the state. My baby boy eats every 2 hours even throughout the night he wakes up every 2 hours by himself - ever since he’s been born. However at this daycare, the teachers were not feeding him at 2 hours even after I reiterated it and made it clear. His 2nd day he went 3.5 hours without a bottle. The longest he’s ever gone without being fed. I wanted to really like this place so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I remained very nice and laid back despite the many red flags. The 3rd and final day I asked my mom to pick my baby up early for an unbiased 2nd opinion. Since she picked him up at a early and random time, she found one of the daycare workers quickly go to pick him up as they placed him to sleep FACE DOWN (he can’t roll yet and he’s never slept on his stomach) in the crib for what they said was 3 hrs. The daycare worker immediately said he still needs a diaper change, however since he wasn’t fed any bottle in FIVE HOURS the diaper was dry. His only bottle was in the morning and right when I got there and I believe that is because I made it clear he needed a bottle at that time. If he wasn’t picked up early, I’m not sure when he would have been changed, or fed, or allowed to safely breathe again. I called the director as I felt uncomfortable and confused by the situation and I am still in disbelief of her responses. When I asked why he was sleeping faced down she said that I gave the teacher a note telling her to put my baby to sleep faced down?!?!…. I would NEVER do that. I asked for this note which they can’t provide because they know it is a bold-faced lie. Please keep in mind the daycare is not allowed to do this, my baby can not roll yet, babies placed to sleep on their stomachs or sides are at higher risk for SIDS. Babies who are used to sleeping on their backs but who are placed on their stomachs or sides for sleep, like for a nap, are at very high risk of SIDS. You would think mothers AND daycare employees would know this and to lie to my face is very concerning. I then asked why he was fed only 1 bottle at 8:30am and nothing after. My mom picked him up at 1pm and when she got home with him, he immediately ate 2 bottles. Please keep in mind my he has never done that before. The director said that was true but that he was sleeping for a few hours. He is always in a daze when he comes out of the daycare. I’m not sure how he is always sleeping that long and without any bottles as he never has done that at home or even throughout the night. She also said they made his bottle ready to go for when he woke up. They said they made his bottle at 10:30am. Any mother and daycare employee should know that you cannot feed a contaminated bottle that has sat out that for over 3.5 hours long. This also means he was forced to sleep on his stomach for that long. The excuses they made up were not justified. Lastly for the sake of others, I’m very concerned for the other babies in that room. The baby next to mine who is much smaller was also placed face down on the mattress. I hope the parents see this review as I’m not sure how else to let them know. I am truly so confused and concerned why they would purposely put these little babies faced down to sleep. There is no justified reason for any of this."
