"My sister and I have been going to Luminous V Nail Spa for a few months now and we’ve loved it every time! I highly recommend Lyn or Thao, both are fantastic and do an excellent job. The salon is very clean and very nice! Would highly recommend giving them a try!"

"My daughter and I both made appointments for 11:45, and asked to be seated next to each other. She comes every few months, and I've only been here once before, but we have both had great experiences. Her regular person took her back promptly and told us to take the two seats assigned to us. He began working on her and told me my person would be along shortly. 45 minutes later, my daughter's finished tips and dipped nails looked amazing! However my "person" had still not shown up and I was left waiting. I had checked twice with the front desk, after waiting 20 and 40 minutes, about why I was still waiting for my service to begin, and told it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. Once my daughter's service was completely finished and paid for, and my person had not even shown up yet to begin to work on me, I canceled my appointment and left with my daughter. Unacceptable!! I would understand if I had not made an appointment to be scheduled with my daughter! Had I been asked, I would have even changed my service to accommodate somebody else, but I was not offered any kind of service at all and just left hanging for 45 minutes. I'm not giving zero stars because my daughter's nails are beautiful."
"During my wedding preparations, we visited Luminous for nail services. We arrived a few minutes early to select colors. I was booked with Hannah due to the recommendations my maid of honor had seen on Google. They sat the other two to begin services and I was struggling to choose a color, I expressed this to my tech and I told her what I was looking for, she pointed to a few and then walked away and sat at the station next to my party. The rest of my time during my nail services was the most awkward encounter I have ever experinced. I selected three shades and asked her to show me how they'd look since matte differs from the sample, but she ignored me and said we needed to work on removing my current nails. She trimmed all my tips off and asked me "where did you get this done" as she inspected them, I told her at my usual shop as she talked to the tech beside us. She soaked my hands with a large paper towel and told me to rub my nails in the solution continuously, or my current powder wouldn't come off, something I'd never encountered but complied with. We sat in awkward silence as she worked on my nails, while my maid of honor chatted with her tech. When it came time to add the colored powder she said I needed to decide which color I wanted, I asked again if I could see a sample of the three colors I picked in the matte instead of gloss to which she declined. If it were any other occasion, I might have accepted it, but after having my nails done for over 10 years, and the significance of this being my wedding, I kindly requested to see them on a nail tip before finalizing the color. In a less-than-friendly tone, she simply said, "okay," and hastily dipped a tip into each color, casually tossing them on the table while chatting with the adjacent technician. I felt uncomfortable and guilty for requesting this, even though I knew it wasn't a big deal. After I chose my color you could cut the tension with a knife as my maid of honor could tell something was off after seeing the last interaction. She tried to lighten the mood by talking about how we were in town for my wedding celebration to which my tech replied with "I know" without looking up. I then chose to stay quiet as she completed the service, contemplating whether to skip my manicure altogether because I simply wanted to leave this environment as soon as possible. The tech who did my pedicure was very nice, I did not get her name. Upon receiving the bill, my fiancé's manicure and basic pedicure cost $60, while my dipping powder nails with tips and basic pedicure with shellac cost $113. After leaving I noticed an "Extra fee" of $25 on my services, and I asked my maid of honor if this was standard. She explained that her services were only $85, and this extra fee was something she had never encountered. She strongly felt the need to contact the salon, expressing her frustration with the service I received. During the call, she was informed that the "extra fee" was due to the length of my nails and the matte finish. I found this perplexing since my nails were a shorter version of the almond shape I'd had for years, and I had never been charged extra for matte finish. This left me bewildered, as I would have reconsidered getting my nails done had I been informed of these costs upfront, particularly given the lack of good customer service. I apologize for the lengthy review, but various small details collectively soured what should have been a cherished moment with my future husband and maid of honor."
