"A nice, short wheelchair accessible hike around some ponds. If you go in August, they have big flowers."

Wetlands Park offers a breathtaking hiking experience for nature enthusiasts and fitness enthusiasts alike. This vast park, divided into two smaller parks, Wetlands Park East and Wetlands Park West, boasts an impressive 2.1-mile perimeter loop trail and a 1.5-mile out-and-back paved trail. Starting on the East side of the park, the first half of the trail on the left is paved, providing a well-maintained, easy and convenient hiking experience with little to no elevation change. The second half of the trail, however, is dirt, which can get a bit muddy in winter, but still provides a challenging and more rugged hiking experience. In the middle of the perimeter loop trail, you can take a break and admire the beautiful lotus pond, which I can imagine must be a majestic sight once winter is over. There are also several other ponds and wetlands along the trail that are worth checking out, offering a unique opportunity to observe the diverse flora and fauna of the area. Even on a Monday afternoon, the park was bustling with activity, so visitors can expect even more crowds on weekends. The perimeter loop trail takes about 45 minutes to complete, while the out-and-back paved trail takes about 30 minutes to walk. I highly recommend wearing a good pair of waterproof boots for the perimeter loop trail and a comfortable pair of walking shoes or sneakers for the paved trail. In terms of amenities, there are no water fountains or mobile restrooms visible on the trail, so be sure to bring along snacks and water to stay hydrated during your hike."
"Average hiking trails. Cool to see in summer or if you live in the area"
