"I was able to have new experiences with my family. I don't think I'll ever forget the experience of having an owl with dark, cool yellow eyes sit on my arm. It was impressive to see so many people dressed up in Viking costumes and having fun. Real animal skins are sold at cheap prices, and if you walk around, you can find a lot of costumes for sale. The place is quite beautiful and I think it will be a memorable experience."
"Always a fun time, rain or shine! We have some must see shows and other shows that we love to see when we can. We’ve never seen a bad show. These past few years we’ve seen a lot of improvements and changes for the better. More shows, more food, more booths, more bathrooms. Yes it can be expensive and yes it can get crowded but it is a festival. It wouldn’t be as much fun without that. The only suggestion we have right now would be to add some water bottle filling stations or some more of the canvas shades that they recently added."
"It's a lot bigger than I expected. A massive complex of permanent buildings that mostly consist of cute medieval themed bars, food stands, and various trinkets/apparel shops. Great selection of food from gyros to expected fair favorites like fries & funnel cakes to unexpected sweets like creme brulee. The bars are mostly beer but a few had Jameson and the like, and even mead at one or two. There are quite a few shows, so keep an eye on the time to make sure you don't miss them. There's human chess, tavern sing alongs, and even various acrobatics shows. I highly recommend the acrobatics shows, really impressive acts! Finally the craftsmen around are quite the sight. You'll find glassblowers, blacksmiths, and jewelry makers creating right before your eyes while keeping a good rapport and answering any curiosities you might have."
"Plentiful parking, tons of vendors, a wide selection of entertainment and food. We had a great time watching the shows and seeing all of the creative costumes. The shops had a large variety of wares. We will definitely go back next year. My recommendation is to arrive early and make a mental note of your parking spot. We saw a lot of people wandering the lot trying to set off their panic alarms in order to find their vehicle. They do have isle markers with numbers to help you remember where you parked."
"Such a good time! Tons of parking and tons to do and see. I love looking at trinkets. I could do it all day, and I did! The mead was delicious. The only suggestion I'd make is more food options. Every food line was crazy long throughout the day, and the wait felt like forever anywhere you went."
