"Good people great Filipino food. Fried pork and chicken adobo. Can't go wrong."
"I want to elevate Filipino food especially in cities where there is not that many options. That being said, I won’t endorse mediocrity. For non-Filipinos the food is good here to try. But if you make and eat this food all the time, there is better Filipino food in Columbus. I had Kare Kare, Longganisa, lumpia, Pancit, BBQ skewers, and halo halo. First of all I will say that maybe a bowl of Adobo or Lechon could have given a different experience. But I cannot grade the meal on food I didn’t get to try. First, the Longganisa was very good and I will give credit that it is the best thing I had at that restaurant. In the Kare Kare was bland and missing any development of meat flavors in the peanut curry/stew. BBQ skewers were sweet, but not balanced with the salt. So it was saltier than normal and the meat was tough. Pancit was bland as well. Lumpia, almost tasted like chicken? I ordered a combo so I guess it comes with chicken Lumpia instead of pork. I don’t know for sure, but it didn’t have that addicting flavor. It’s hard to mess up lumpia to the point where it taste like chicken. And if it is chicken, why ruin lumpia by making it chicken. Lastly, the halo halo! I loved the corn ice cream one of my favorite additions to halo halo that I don’t see often. I don’t like giving reviews like this, but I’m honest. If it was a bad day and I’m completely off, I feel bad that I experienced the restaurant at a lower quality. I can’t endorse people to come to eat the food of my heritage if it is not represented at the level I think it should be."
"Modest establishment with outstanding food. We got the platter to share and everything had a well balanced flavor. You get a lot of food for the price. The egg rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had. Halo halo was light and refreshing. We will definitely be back! Thank you!!"
"Another great Filipino restaurant near Columbus Ohio. If your in the area you must try Kuya Ian restaurant. Very friendly and the food is very good cooked fresh. I enjoyed the large family platter called “ The Family style Bilbao, 49.98 regular serves 1-3 people and Large 69.98 serves 3-6. We had Lechon Kawali, Pork/chicken BBQ sticks, Kare Kare, Sinigang Fish Belly. Also includes dessert and of course we had Halo Halo."
"Absolutely incredible food. New to Filipino, but it won’t be my last visit. It looks like it’s a tiny hole in the wall in a plaza, but the inside is meticulously spotless. The staff is incredible. They are cheerful and friendly and answer questions for newbies. The food was so wonderful. We had chicken adobo, which is in a beautiful flavorful broth. The chicken was very tender. We also ordered pork adobo and it is just incredible. The pork is crunchy and the sauce is deep and a little sweet. We also got the vegetarian rice noodles. They are delicious and perfectly cooked. The noodles are perfectly al dente and not mushy or sticky at all. The veggies are fully cooked but not soft, still a little crispy. Perfect. And if I could have a full gallon of that purple ube ice cream, it wouldn’t be enough. It is amazingly tasty, but not too sweet. The lumpia was hot and crispy and the orange sauce with them was incredible. I asked and learned that it was homemade. It’s amazing. You could drink it. A wonderful restaurant. So reasonably priced for high-quality delicious food. I can’t wait to go back."
