"More of a collection than a museum, but it was neat to see the animals. The taxidermy large cats were especially impressive. They had a lot of their majesty still captured. They had a handful of items you could pick up and feel, such as a moose antler. Seems like they were working on some improvements. Staff was friendly and offered to answer questions. I wouldn't call it a destination but could be a fun stop if you're in the area."
"Cannot say enough about this FREE museum! It's so COMPLETELY extensive, and full of interesting, eye-popping, odd and amazing specimens - you could spend half a day here, even though it's not too large of a place! On a college campus, and it is handicap accessible. Talk to the Director-Steven for a fascinating tour where I promise - you WILL walk out wide-eyed about what he'll tell/show you about this great place and everything in it! Absolutely a must stop! Go and enjoy!"
"Definitely recommend going! We took a tour here with our homeschool group, and love it! It was very cool to see all the cool stuff they had and the staff were great at explaining what everything was! I definitely learned some fascinating things while here! I reckon end going!"
"The atmosphere was nice, decor was very outdoorsy. Five stars for the Feng Shui. Service, however, was slow and the food was frankly inedible. My taxidermy beaver was completely raw when I explicitly asked for medium rare."
"Stopped here between classes once with some friends, and I'd certainly recommened dropping by for anyone interested in zoology. A nice, free little museum with a good collection of animals, and some very interesting write-ups on many of them. Also has some very good displays."
