Reviews of TreeHouse Toys & Play
"I took my kids to the amazing place this weekend. They had so much fun. This place has so many different activities and toys my kids played for hours. The employees are amazing. They are very welcoming and made me feel that my kids are in good hands. We will most definitely be back. Thank you so much TreeHouse staff for all that you do!"
"Not enough places like this around here. Great for walkers through young school age. So many great toys as well as free space and some climbing toys. My newly turned 3 year old played for 3 hours here. And it's nice that they have the toys for sale. Some of them are more unique Montessori style."
"The place is small but great for little ones who like a more quiet place to play. There are toys for purchase as well but you don’t need to buy anything to play. You do have to pay for kids over a certain age but I feel it’s worth it. Great for little ones."
"My three little boys, ages 6, 4, and 2, had an amazing time at TreeHouse Toys & Play! As a dad, I’m always looking for something fun to do on the weekend to get them out of the house and away from the siren call of their tablets and screens. It’s hard to find something that will work for my oldest at 6, and yet still work for my youngest who is 2. I found a place that works for all three in the Treehouse! The Treehouse has such a cool and unique concept behind it. You pay a per child fee to get in and then can let them loose. Virtually every toy for sale was on the floor, assembled, and waiting for my kids to pick up, test to their heart’s content, and play with. When they had their fill of fun with one toy, they moved on to the next and the next and so on. All three of my boys, despite their age differences, found many toys to play with or some feature to crawl on/under, walk over, or yell from. The toys themselves were most definitely not the bright, flashing lights and loud sounds variety. I could tell, even with my inexperienced eye, that they were all high quality, often wooden (and thus durable and far harder to break), and designed to promote skill development and learning. I spoke with the owner, who is often there, and she said she carefully chooses her inventory of toys according to a Montessori philosophy, which she said is based on self-directed activities, hands-on learning, and collaborative play. I could definitely see the difference in this store; it was far from the Toys R’ Us or the Chuckie Cheese visits of mine or my wife's youth. I saw many kids there playing with the trains or the sensory toy area collaboratively and peacefully. Thankfully, the space really isn’t all that large, there were certainly no 8-foot-tall, segregated aisles of toys like in a normal store for my kids to get lost in, so it was easy to keep track of all my boys, despite being in different parts of the store at various points. I often played with them too and when they tired out in one area, I took them over to a reading area which had a large selection of books to read from and we just read several really interesting books. I heard that there have even been events in the past where the authors come in to read and sign them, which I thought was very cool! One of the other cool things about this place is that you can get a great idea for what toys or books your kid really likes and is willing to play with again. They’ve played with it for a while already, after all! A few toys and books were clear winners in my kids’ minds, I noticed, and I was able to be 'super dad' by buying them that day. Given how carefully they were selected and how educational they are, I didn't even feel that guilty about it afterwards considering how many toys they already have! :-) Like I said, virtually everything they had a chance to play with on the floor is available to take home that day, if you decide you want it. Overall, it was a very fun day for all three of my boys. Over the course of two hours or so they tuckered themselves out playing with all the amazing toys and the other children, while not doing the same to me or my wife. It was a great way to spend a fun few hours with the kids while also getting some great gift ideas for them and their cousins in preparation for the holiday season. I highly recommend Treehouse Toys & Play for you to bring your kids!"
"We just had my 2 years birthday party at Treehouse Toys. Both my 5 year old and 2 year old love it here. So clean, tons of toys to keep them entertained. Would definitely recommend having a party here or coming for a playdate with friends."
