McCarthy's Downtown 1231 Main Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44113

"I was invited to come watch the Browns game on 12/28/23. Upon entering the establishment I admired the set up and size of the bar. I sat down at the bar and immediately noticed the male bartender had an attitude so much to the point that someone else had to ask them were they "ok" I arrived about 7:30pm and left at 10. thorough out my time. The bartender would not even attempt to see if anything was needed, would flat out ignore us and was very rude. I asked for water and he grabbed a cup filled it with ice and directed me to go get water from the well. (This stood out as the other patrons at the bar when asked for water was given water from the bar) At this point I had to leave because it was clear I was not welcomed at this establishment. I must point out another bartender came over to take my order of wings which were tasty. otherwise I find it unfortunate that my first and last experience at this bar was met by a rude bartender whom ignored me, rolled his eyes at me, consistently forgot to close out our tab and even with me being patient, understanding, not returning the same energy that was given to me this did nothing to change his disposition."

"A friend and I decided to have dinner here before a show at Jacob's Pavilion. It was a little busy, but they looked understaffed. We sat and waited and nobody came to our table. I finally went to the bar where I waited a really long time. I made new friends at the bar, and finally caught an employee to take my order. The drinks were good, especially the lemod drop shots. The food took a really long time to come out, and Day House a really long time to get someone's attention to pay the bill. We had a nice time and were relieved we decided to have dinner well before the show and weren't late."

"Its a Wednesday night, its empty and dead in here but MAN this place is a STEAL for a good steak plate you just canNOT beat it! I mean imma be back here every Wednesday for steak night if i can THIS. This why you give the dive a shot"

"Not really a fan. We came over after having a few across the street and walked in and it is a nice setup but the bartender did not even have a clue about the beers on tap or what she had in her cooler for hard seltzer’s. But clean and it looks like they have a stage so I am going to assume they have live music sometimes. No one in her but two other people. So not to much going on. Would be willing to give it another chance and hope for better results"
