Reviews of Cleveland Clinic - Fairview Hospital Emergency Department
"Stephanie Busser is an extremely hostile peds nurse and shouldn’t be working with children or actually needs retrained. I had filed a complaint with the ombudsman and am extremely disappointed and disgusted how it was handled, or actually wasn’t. I had to drive an hour to take my extremely sick and dehydrated 6 year old daughter here and dealt with “med errors” and hostility through their staff. Nothing was taken seriously and my daughter wasn’t properly diagnosed. If you’re thinking of coming here especially for an emergency take yourself to a different hospital! Or leave with a traumatized child who will never forget her experience here. Sickening."
"Easily the worst ER visit I’ve experienced. The staff at check in was rude to almost every person who came through the door. I was there for over 6 hours without being seen, with a cough so bad I can’t catch my breath. No one moved anywhere the only people who I saw leave were people who had kids who came in at least 2 hours after me and people who decided they didn’t want to wait anymore. I was sitting with a woman who was going on 10 hours of being there with nurses telling her they couldn’t tell her anything about her bloodwork and she had to “just keep waiting”. A woman with a shattered arm who was at risk for permanent nerve damage who they just kept waiting for 7+ hours. The most anyone did in that 6 hour time frame was check everyone’s vitals for the second and third time. I knew when I called and the person who answered the phone was rude and had an attitude I should’ve gone somewhere else but after my experience tonight I will not be going back to this hospital."
"Fairview ER used to be the best in the area. Not anymore. Wait times are through the roof. I came here 36 was pregnant with severe abdominal pain. Got stuck in a holding room. Ran an EKG that the nurse said was normal. Never saw a doctor in the 6 hours I was there. The pain subsided. The pain began again another night, went to Avon ER where I was seen right away. Within 20 minutes they knew I needed to have my gall bladder removed. Don’t go to Fairview. Go somewhere else."
"Do not go here, would give zero stars. My mom has Parkinson’s and is in her 70s and fell and split her lip pretty bad and needed stitches. We waited a little over 5 hours and eventually left to go to the Lakewood ER where she got seen pretty fast. Employees at Fairview were not very helpful and were pretty rude. I think they are probably stressed and overworked, but it’s still upsetting to see them be rude to someone in pain with a visible injury. I think the Cleveland Clinic cares more about profit over quality of care."
"My partner and I have been here for two hours, she'd pregnant, is bleeding with no end, and yet here we continue to wait. Not a single person has been called from the waiting room in the last hour and a half. We will be billed for the visit, I'm charged for parking(the maximum amount after this wait is over I'm sure), and the life and health of our unborn child is in the air because we're being told to continue to wait. Even after expressing "I'm worried I'm miscarrying, I'm in pain and have been bleeding heavy", no one is grasping a sense of urgency. I get there's order to things, but no one is being helped it seems? I have nothing but bad experiences with the Cleveland clinic. I know they have amazing doctors, but this system is beyond broke."
