"The man we worked with was SO patient with my 1-year old. Would 10/10 recommend coming in here to get your kid's first shoes. We went on a Friday afternoon - not a peak shopping time - and we were helped right away."
"This store is a little out of our way, but I’ve always thought well fitting shoes are so important for children. Most stores no longer have staff that knows anything about fitting shoes. So, we’ve made a point of taking our grandchildren to Lucky for measurements and first shoes and they are amazing. Our grandson is quite stubborn and they measured and got shoes for him in no time and without tears. Nobody has accomplished that! Taking the youngest for first shoes next week. If you have reluctant children this is the place to go."
"You have to sign in to get help, no sizes on the floor to even help yourself. It’s hard waiting when you have kids. The lady that did help us was very nice though. Response towards owner. Maybe a place like this is out of my tax bracket, but it was a very strange situation. Never had to sign in at a shoe store. A 5 min wait is reasonable but 20 is not. I suggest putting on your site that this establishment is a sit and wait. I apologize if it is on your site."
"I went into Stride Rite/Lucky's at around noon on Monday, March 1st with a very anxious two-year-old child. Normally our attempts to measure her foot end in hysterics. I never quite feel like we get a true measurement because we just settle for whatever she lets us get before she hits the emergency-level of her meltdown. I should also add that this toddler hates men that she doesn't know. So, when I entered the store and was promptly greeted by a very nice male associate (Unfortunately, I didn't get his name!), my heart sunk. I was expecting the outing to be an epic fail, especially since my daughter had skipped her nap that day. I warned the associate that he was dealing with a very reluctant customer ahead of time. He seemed completely unfazed and simply looked at my daughter and said he would measure her foot quickly. As soon as I started to take her shoes off, my daughter began to throw a fit in anticipation of what was coming. The sales associate quickly grabbed her left foot, measured it and then measured the right foot, all before my kid knew what happened. She instantly stopped fussing. I'm not sure if she was shocked at how painless the whole process was or whether she was as impressed as I was with how the sales associate handled the situation, but from that moment on, this gentleman had her trust and respect. She let him check her toes and even engaged with him a little bit (which NEVER happens with strangers). We walked away with an awesome pair of shoes I feel confident about AND my daughter can't stop talking about her experience with pride and smiles. I really wish I had gotten this gentleman's name so that I could personally thank him in this review, but he was amazing and Lucky's is so fortunate to have someone like him in their Stride Rite department. I will be going back to Lucky's for all of my daughter's shoes from now on. Any store that can make my kid feel better about something that she is super afraid of deserves my business."
"Lots of shoes. Took a long time for anyone to come over and measure our child's foot. They have good quality shoes. They have a whole table full of shoes that are on sale. Overall good place to get good shoes if you don't mind the wait."
