"I had the Chef Salad. Wow! Real pulled turkey with shaved ham and bacon. This was a great salad in a really cool location. The prices are also very good."
"I've had a month to think abt my review for Train Depot Restaurant. I decided to EDIT my review! We had a family gathering for lunch at Trackside. Reservations were made in advance bc of size of our party. Place was very inviting. Nice decor. Outdoor seating available for summertime use. Service was good. Food was ok,.. . Potato skin appetitizer was good. I had the Chicken Salad and banana bread plate with fruit. Would I order again. NO!! I've always heard everything on your plate needs to be EDIBILE!! The pineapple slices still contained the outer skin. It is VERY HARD to trim pineapple with a butter knife with food on your plate. Shouldn't have to use hands for sticky pineapple! Grapes were SOO OLD... they were mush! The grape stems were dried and shriveled up. Banana bread needed 5+ more minutes in oven. My husband had the grilled chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes were served with the potatoes unpeeled. A lot of potato skins n mashed potatoes is NOT appetizing!! No salt on potatoes!! Green beans were excellent. Chicken very bland!! I had bourbon bread pudding for dessert. It was ok. Nice gathering place for a group. Food mediocre!!"
"It was a very delightful experience. Excellent service (Nichole), great food (Fried Green Tomatoes, 10oz Ribeye which was cooked to perfection, Mashed Potatoes, Shrimp Cocktail, House Salad, and Bourbon Bread Pudding), warm atmosphere. Just going to say, you can find a cook anywhere. Trackside must have a chef with a passion for cooking, and some amazing culinary skills. The staff and owners are wanting everyone to know about the history of Trackside, while experiencing great food and service. Made today's road trip worth the drive. Can't wait to go back!!"
"This is a really relaxing place to eat. I enjoyed the doors open and the relaxing sounds of nature. Very historic place, it has been well taken care of. Very clean and at the time we were there, very busy. The food was delicious, I had the special, a trio salad."
"Wonderful relaxed atmosphere in a building that dates back almost 150 years and meticulously restored. Be sure and pick up the pamphlet that talks about the history of the building and the current owners. We stopped in during a road trip after consulting Google Maps for a place to eat dinner. Glad we found this place. We found the food was very flavorful with several items you don’t always see at other restaurants. The pretzel bites were a big hit although there could’ve been more to the basket and the dipping sauces added nicely to the order. Fried chicken dinner, chicken, livers dinner and large salad, all were tasty and plenty of food. I especially enjoyed the Italian style green beans and fresh baked potato. I look forward to trying the pimento dip next visit. Service was well above average and friendly. Even clean bathrooms. Fully stocked bar as well. The outside patio area was the perfect place to sit and have a relaxed meal. Too bad a train didn’t go by as we were enjoying our food. Lots of large screen TVs to allow one to relax and watch as you have a beer, bourbon or sweet tea, along with comfortable padded, bench seats. It’s a popular spot for the local crowd. They have little spinning arms for the tables to keep flies away from our food. Helped some. This restaurant is well worth going a little out of your way to visit, and I look forward to my next time in Paris Kentucky and have another wonderful meal at The Trackside Restaurant."
