"⁰00Doctors & most nurses are top notch! The hospital "room" if you wanna call it that was a joke! Basically a round hallway with curtains on the side & front of each "room". It was like 60° in there, I had to wear my winter coat all night in order to stay warm. The nurses in CDU act like a bunch of high schoolers at a party.... laughing loudly talking loudly to one another. We were told of it got too bright or loud for us that they could provide us with ear plugs & eye masks! I don't see how they could honestly bill our insurance for a hospital room that was basically like an outdoor tent!"

"My toddler was scheduled for an 8a.m procedure, we were left in the surgery waiting room until nearly 1:30. I brought him to ER on Sunday and stayed 6 and half hours for a 5 minute fix of a gtube. Today, tube was clogged somewhere, brought him back to UK ER again and have been here nearly 7 hours so far...we are still waiting. I believe the doctors genuinely feel.they are above us and therefore are happy to enjoy their day while we sit with tired hungry cranky children. At this time in my childs life they have us where they want us, but believe me. I will be locating more professional physicians as soon as i am able."

"Visited this establishment with my blind father who was having surgery for cancer and we have never been treated so rude by any other establishment including a healthcare facility. The lady registering my father wouldn't even listen to my mother who was trying to tell her he was blind and just shoved papers at him to sign he wasn't able to see. Then my elderly mother went with him to sit by his bedside before surgery and I waited in an empty pre operative waiting room to escort her back down and was told to leave, we wasn't allowed to be in there, leaving her to find her own way back and resulting in her getting lost and no one helping her. No one in registration cares about patients or their wellbeing. Please work on your customer service, your servicing people in their time of need and this type of service is not acceptable."

"My blind father had surgery here today and all I can say is wow!!! I pray that the surgery goes better than the customer service. Every employee my family has encountered has been so unpleasant. Was waiting on my elderly mother in a completely empty waiting area to show her how to get back downstairs to the main surgery waiting area (She was at her husbands bedside until they took him back) and was told to leave and go on downstairs. 20 years of law enforcement, arrests all over Kentucky and I’ve never talked to or treated the public so bad. UK hospital please work on your people skills!"

"We brought my uncle to the emergency room and from the moment he arrived, the care that he received was top notch. They were very busy as it was a Saturday and a UK football game was just ending, so many patients to be seen. The staff not only provided immediate great care , but they continuously maintained open communication with us. The nurses and staff on 7th floor- trauma unit constantly monitored him, provided updates and fully explained next steps, they were very professional and efficient but at the same time , very compassionate and caring.They were prompt when care was needed and mindful of our needs and comfort. I will definitely be using UK for my immediate family- I have every confidence in their capabilities."
