"We were new patients after moving to the area. We enjoyed our well visit/new patient visit in August. Then we received a bill and our experience with the practice became a disaster. The bill was for an office visit and when I called to discuss this with billing, since we had been scheduled as a well visit, I was informed that the charge was because the doctor had given us a referral for a new allergist. The referral came about as we discussed my child's medical history (remember we are NEW PATIENTS) and reviewed his health (it was a WELL VISIT). I questioned the charge as this was for an already diagnosed condition and was a quick question/answer type conversation (my well visit appointment for both children was less than 30 minutes!). The billing department asked if I wanted the charge sent to be refuted and I said yes and was informed that someone would be in touch. Time goes by and I receive the bill again, I call billing and they can't do anything so they send me to voicemail of supervisor. I leave a message. This back and forth continues for months and I even send a letter by mail at this point, since no one is calling me back. Then in January I receive notice that my charge has been sent to collections and I again call. This time billing (who every time I call, says it seems that you have called before and left messages--yes and no one has returned my calls) says we can connect you to the office manager--the first time this was given as an option. I leave a message and we play phone tag, but finally are able to talk and NOTHING can be done. I'm told this is standard practice across any doctor's office (never in my previous years with our old practice did I experience this!) and any matter not related to a well visit is an additional charge for billing purposes. We will not be returning to the practice as we need a provider that will continue to discuss our child's health and progress without us fearing what additional cost this may occur. And the customer service was a DISASTER--it took 5 MONTHS before I spoke with someone outside of the billing representatives."
"Update: your response was call the office. I have called three separate times and left 3 voicemails and nobody ever returned my calls. I took my son here for a fever and sore throat. We got charged 115 for the visit and 49 for the strep test. The strep was negative but should still be played because rapid test are not always reliable. Five days later the fever was still there. I called and they offered me a 7 o’clock appointment. The doctor said we needed to run a respiratory panel. We got charged an office fee of 164 this time plus a 68 dollar “evening” appointment fee. Which I’ve never been charged this at the Beavercreek location. Then they ran the strep test again so they could plate it and charged me again for the test 49 dollars. So my bill for the doctor was 250 after insurance and my bill for that the respiratory panel was 450 dollars. I have never, never had a sick visit this high and we have been with primed for 17 years. Dr. Matt retired in Beavercreek and we live closer to Springboro so they transferred us there. I am not taking them back to primed. The other office always told us if a test was necessary and if there would be extra charges. I am so shocked how much a sick visit has needed up costing. Little clinic is 100 total after insurance so that’s what we will do and move them to my family doctor. I do not recommend the Springboro office."
"We made an appointment for our son to get his final shots for school because the shot records we received stated he needed them. Dr. Rohaus came into the room an hour after our scheduled time and stated they messed up and he didn’t need the shots they just forgot to update the records. The office staff is always impossible to get in touch with. Dr. Rohaus was unpleasant and disrespectful and is the reason we will be finding a new care provider for our children."
"I really enjoy this office for my daughter. It's very clean and the staff is always great. I've never waited more than 60 seconds in the waiting area to be called back. Dr. Rohaus is very knowledgeable and makes us comfortable during every appointment with our daughter. He gives ample time and answers all questions. I appreciate that we can call anytime during opening hours (Saturdays too!) and speak with a nurse for advice or to schedule a last minute appointment if we have any concerns. Hope nothing ever changes!"
"My experience with PriMED Physicians Springboro Pediatrics was not pleasant . Initially, I thought Primed was affiliated with Dayton's children hospital, it turned out they were not. I decided to give them a chance. This turned out to be a BIG MISTAKE. If you're seeking quality care for your children and respectful communication from the front office, I strongly advise you to go elsewhere. I never had issues with the doctor assigned to my children, who was the default doctor accepting new patients at the time. However, when I questioned a new policy, the office manager responded inappropriately and dismissively, leading to a heated conversation. The situation escalated quickly, with the manager threatening to call the authorities and she dismissed my children from not just the Springboro location, but all PriMED locations. This was an extreme overreaction to a disagreement over policy, which should have been easily resolved through respectful and clear communication. Despite bringing the matter to the attention of the administrators, there was no resolution because it is physician owned, and the doctor sided with the office manager. I was disappointed that the doctor did not take the time to hear my side of the story or show any compassion especially since we have never had issues over the years. The fact that the physician's judgment was influenced by the office manager's misuse of power suggests that they do not prioritize the well-being of children, which is concerning given the nature of a pediatric office. In conclusion, if you are seeking quality care for your children and respectful communication, I advise you to go elsewhere. This experience has made me aware of how this practice handles care, and I'm grateful to have found a better option for my children's health."
