"Great food, busy on Valentine’s Day which led to slightly inconsistent service but well-mannered waiters."
"Used DoorDash and ordered meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Meatloaf was awful. Very dry and not a drop of gravy, and was given french fries vs. mashed potatoes. Very disappointing as food used to be consistently delicious...not any more."
"I think the best place to start is to say that I do see the potential for this restaurant to get five star reviews, but it has work to do to get there. The atmosphere is great, the place is clean, ample seating, etc. The food was okay. Overpriced for what it is. Smash burgers are cheap to make as are shoestring French fries. The buffalo sauce was delicious, but we ordered out food as it was off the menu and it came wrong after an hour long wait in the middle of the afternoon. The service was slow, but otherwise polite. It took over an hour for food when we came in around 2:30pm and there was only one other table that was seated around the same time we were in. Then the food came out slightly incorrect (wrong toppings, mixed up sides, nothing worth complaining about but added to the experience). The cost for what we ordered was a bit substantial. Certainly a family of four can run pricey but $80 for three burgers and a wrap seems really off particularly without alcohol on the tab. All in all it was an average stop. Other reviews seem to indicate this isn’t the place for lunch so maybe I will try again for dinner some day."
"A nice little tavern in Powell. They have some interesting looking cocktails. Beer list was ok, but lacking stouts and porters even in December. Food was good, but not exceptional. I had fish and chips. Fish was good and not too greasy, so good points there, but the fries are "shoestring" fries and so don't retain their heat for more than 2 minutes, so they definitely lost points there. (Especially when served as part of fish and chips, you expect the fries to be more than an after thought.) Son had the J Hancock burger which he thought also fell short of expectations. He ordered without onions and it came out without peppers too, which may have contributed to it falling a bit short. Wife thought her salad was quite tasty. I'll probably return, but will avoid the fries."
"My sister and I stopped by for a late lunch. Service was fast and friendly. We got the loaded tots to share (highly recommend). My sister ordered the mushroom wagyu burger and I ordered the bison burger. They were out of bison unfortunately, but substituted the patty with wagyu instead, which was also delicious. The house chips on the side were super crispy. Everything tasted great and the burgers were cooked perfectly (medium for my sister and medium rare for me). This is a great place to eat in downtown Powell."
