"I do like this place. It had an amazing selection of new but mostly second hand books. Well-kept store, friendly staff, and great prices. Cons: I sold them like 30 books, all in like-new condition, and I got $2.86. I couldn't even buy one book for the price of those 30 books. I understand how their system for buying works, but seriously. Should at least be a minimum of $5, like "hey, thanks for giving us more inventory to possibly be able to sell across the country in any of our stores, here's a bare minimum voucher so you can take at least 1 book back out of our inventory...." Anyways, I will be back, but not to ever sell. I just wanted them in a better place than my basement."

"On the whole I love half price books! I took a book in about the Beatles by the Beatles. In the original wrapping mint condition that selling for over $100 online in various places. They offered me $3.14 for it I was very disappointed."

"This is a pretty decent used book store, and well worth a visit. It's in the Cherry Grove strip mall near the Kroger, jammed next to a few discount stores, and looks pretty tacky from the outside. But it's well worth a visit, for me. The place is huge and was well staffed with a large and very well organized collection. As you enter on the left, they have their more expensive offerings, older and collectibles, sets, some in a locked case. The main section is row after row of author-alphabetized and thematically separated more recent books, and here you could truly browse for hours. If they sold coffee here and had some chairs, I might just move in. On the right side of the store they have their video selections, DVDs and Blu Rays, alphabetized by title, with separate areas for movies and TV series. Better than wasting time online - find it there. A good number are new and sealed - I suppose folks buy stuff, never view, then sell it to these guys. Go in, you're sure to find things you'll want!"
