Reviews of Cranial Technologies
"We had a great experience with Cranial Tech. Grace was so wonderful throughout our 15 week journey and the rest of the staff was so friendly and great with our daughter when we visited the office."
"So happy my sons pediatrician referred him to cranial technologies. He is now 8 months old with a beautiful rounded head that won’t cause him any issues later on in life. Everyone at this place is friendly and caring. They make what seems like an intimidating process very easy. Highly recommend for kids heads that won’t “buff out” on their own."
"I write this cautiously as a pediatrician with patients who have used cranial technologies and experience with their service. I have concerns about their practice. Most concerning is that I have had numerous patients be recommended for therapy by cranial tech only to get second opinions at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and told they don't need it. Many of my patients have felt like they are trying to sell them on the therapy, and none of my patients who found Cranial Technologies were referred by me or my practice. I am not the only one at my practice with these concerns. Additionally, it is not always clear to parents that they do not have doctors there. I get in my fax or mail a request for a signed prescription for therapy that I did not even initiate, so this is confusing to parents as well. It causes fear of a time sensitive cosmetic or health problem for their child that can be hard on families, mostly unnecessarily. This is not an indictment of the staff there or even the potential efficacy of the therapy if in fact needed. However, the fact that I have never had a patient go to cranial tech and tell me that they recommended AGAINST therapy is concerning. Just be cautious and discuss with your physician. And please, verify with insurance. I have reached out to their patient relations office to be fair to them but I echo the concerns expressed by the parent seen in the reviews."
"As an experienced mama, I was definitely concerned when my youngest showed signs of flatness that weren’t “going away with time” as our pediatrician said they would. By 9 months, we were finally referred to Cranial. I thought it might be too late to do anything to fix it, but the clinician was very comforting and explained the whole process in detail. Our little guy made so much progress at month 3 of treatment. I was questioning whether or not a second helmet would be needed, but we were assured he was ready to “graduate” and they didn’t want to over-correct. The staff was always friendly and every step is thoroughly explained: from pricing to treatment and at-home care. I felt like they all genuinely cared about us and had our baby’s best interest at heart. They also took safety and sanitation very seriously and that was appreciated! I highly recommend them! It was even kind of bittersweet for us to finish the program."
"This place is great. Very clean and my son loves all the toys and has a fun time in the waiting area. The receptionists and doctors are so nice and make us feel welcome every time we walk in the door. And most importantly my son loves them! My son who is now 9 months, almost 10 months old has shown so much improvement with his head shape and only needs it another month or 2. If recommended here by a doctor, I would highly recommend this place."
